🌎♻ 𝗦𝘂𝘀𝘁𝗮𝗶𝗻𝗮𝗯𝗹𝗲 𝗪𝗲𝗱𝗻𝗲𝘀𝗱𝗮𝘆 ♻🌎 Blue carbon ecosystems such as mangroves, seagrasses or salt marshes capture CO₂ from the atmosphere and help to combat climate change. They are very sensitive lands that are easily degraded, an example of which is that more than 50% of salt marshes were lost in the 20th century 🎋💧. For this reason, they must be protected and Molecor, as part of the Operation Clean Sweep ✅ programme, is working to prevent plastic pellets from harming them. https://lnkd.in/eC93JxdY

On this World Environment Day, we are proud to share something exciting: Our site in Querétaro, Mexico, has received a certificate recognizing our commitment to climate action 🤩 Our site in Mexico aims to go beyond its environmental obligations by participating in a voluntary carbon reduction project: "Biodiverse Carbon in the Sierra Gorda Biosphere Reserve." Through this project, we successfully offset 3 tCO2eq. This initiative supports climate change mitigation, protects forests rich in biodiversity and endangered species, and aids the local economy by supporting landowners. It is important to mention that voluntary offsetting is not a substitute for our commitment to reduce our carbon footprint, but an additional effort. This action aligns with our strategy, which, among other goals, aims to contribute to a more sustainable world.

Specialists in the world are moving towards safe environmental disposal of waste and preserving the climate. Many researches are also being conducted around the world on the possibility of separating carbon in the soil with the cotton crop in order to preserve the climate. I believe that the time has come for a different view of that crop as a sustainable, environmentally friendly crop.
