As banks in recent years have closed down costly branches there have been many attempts to recreate services for customers in smaller towns and conurbations. What seemed like a great idea at the time - Mobile Banking vans - has, for many entities, become relegated to history. They were not low cost: in 2014 RBS spent over £600k on just five! Lloyds Banking Group will end their service in May this year. Touted as offering "easy access to banking facilities for customers", they have become outdated, and like branches, costly to maintain. There is, however, a much lower cost option, requiring a footprint of just 7m², capable of offering all banking services and accessible up to 24 x 7 x 365.
