In November we'll be walking in the Palm Beach Heart Walk to raise money for the American Heart Association to fund groundbreaking research that literally keeps hearts beating and helps people have longer, healthier lives. If you're in this area and would like to join our team - we'd love the company. If you'd be open to helping us raise some money - we've set a modest goal of $2,500. Why? Here's some data from the CDC: - Heart disease is the leading cause of death for men, women, and people of most racial and ethnic groups. - One person dies every 33 seconds from cardiovascular disease. - In 2022, 702,880 people died from heart disease. That's the equivalent of 1 in every 5 deaths. - Heart disease cost about $252.2 billion from 2019 to 2020.2 This includes the cost of health care services, medicines, and lost productivity due to death. https://lnkd.in/g-7D-9cr #fundraiser #help #motivation

Chappo ( Andrew Chapman ) & I are taking on a challenge of walking 377km (click on our link and go through to Chappo’s fundraising profile to read why we have chosen 377km), between us, from now until the end of April, to help raise funds to support research into a cure for Parkinson's Disease. Every dollar raised will help. If you are not in a position to give any funds, consider giving five minutes of your time to learn something new about Parkinson's Disease, that you may not have been aware of, before. Raising awareness and understanding of the disease, is just as important, to us, as trying to raise some funds. We are both very aware that you do not have to go far to find someone that is dealing with a much more devastating situation, than we are. That said, nothing about Parkinson's Disease is easy. Today (Sept 5th) is Spinal Cord Injury Awareness Day, a cause that holds a very special place in my heart and in the heart of Tx Five. As some of you may know, the creation of Tx Five was driven by a personal experience that deeply affected my family. My younger brother suffered a severe spinal cord injury, and he continues to be an inspiration day in, day out. His resilience and positivity serve as a living reminder that no matter what you're faced with, you can overcome it. You can defy the odds and you can choose to make a truly positive impact on those around you. At Tx Five, we believe in making a positive impact not just in the biotech world, but in the wider patient community too. That's why we proudly donate a portion of our fees to Wings for Life, a spinal cord research foundation dedicated to finding a cure for spinal cord injuries. Our contributions are just one way we’re working to support life-changing research, and we are committed to continuing this mission.
