MARLBOROUGH PUBLIC SCHOOLS’ Post

This week's appreciation breakfast hosted by MassHire Metro South/West in Marlborough, MA was a resounding success, illuminating the wealth of internships, job training, and work-based learning opportunities available to youth in our community. Representing MARLBOROUGH PUBLIC SCHOOLS at the event were MHS Job Coach Amanda Lobdell-Chenier and Communications Coordinator Jillian Roberts, M. Ed., underscoring our school's dedication to connecting students with these invaluable experiences. We were also pleased to see representatives from WMCT-TV, Marlborough's local cable access channel, in attendance. Their broad range of offerings, from summer camps and school internships to news anchor roles for our youth, has significantly enriched our students' experiences. Looking ahead, we're thrilled to highlight more about our exciting collaborations with Patriot Ambulance and Technium, Inc.! We'll soon unveil insights (via videos) into the certificate programs designed specifically for our MHS students, emphasizing our mission to blend academic insights with practical business experiences. A special shoutout to the Marlborough Economic Development Corporation, who continuously engage with local #MarlboroughMA companies through their school-to-business outreach initiatives, setting the stage for a brighter future for Marlborough's youth. 🚨 To the local #MarlboroughMA businesses, if you're curious about how we can partner to offer work-based learning opportunities for our students, please contact Amanda at: achenier@mps-edu.org. Let's unite for a brighter tomorrow!
