WATERPROOF UPGRADE OF YOUR CONNECTOR WITHOUT CHANGING THE DESIGN Superhydrophobic contacts make electrical connectors absolutely waterproof. This works without any rubber seal. They even work under water. The seal is created by the physical properties of the contacts. Existing plugs without water protection can be upgraded to watertight without any design changes. A new generation of automotive connectors is on the rise. For example, connectors for motor vehicles that are treated using direct laser structuring. In the US, such a connector is protected by US9728879B2. It is free in the rest of the world because DE102015110070A1, EP3109947A1, JP2016124136A , KR1020160078007A , CN106299778B are no longer in force. Zircotec thermal barrier coating for Carbon Composites Carbon composite wheels are increasingly being considered for automotive applications. They are typically 25% lighter than aluminium forged wheels therby contributing to overall vehicle weight reduction. However, a major challenge comes from the potential impact of heat. The primary concern here is the high temperatures and potential heat-soak associated with vehicle braking systems, particularly during heavy braking, and the risk that this heat might damage the carbon composite and thus impact the structural integrity of the wheel.
