As an artist, I have pioneered innovative techniques using inks, alcohol, and uniquely, my own hair styler. Creating art with liquid materials and blowing it out with air is, let's say, an unconventional method for crafting unique artworks. I have developed my signature style in organic, one-of-a-kind pieces where I passionately build contemporary compositions using multiple layers. These artworks are then cast into high gloss resin, creating a deep shine and making the gold I use shimmer even more. My artworks refract light, always maintaining a dream-like quality. In hiperrealism, we’re talking about details on the level of skin pores. If there is a single hair of mustache of 2mm, you draw the mustache as well as it’s shadow. So it’s very-very detailed and that’s high definition. Therefore, at least for a start, it would help if you make your artwork BIG. If an A4/A3 size paper is too small for a drawing of a face, go for an A2/A1/A0 size. That way, it’s easier for you to draw the details. Beside, working on a huge paper/canvas would give you that unique feel: from upclose, it’d look like an abstract drawing/painting. Only from a proper vantage point you would see the big picture. That feel is unique to hyperrealism. After that, you can approach your work by doing a scale transfer. Make x and y lines to make coordinates on the high definition photograph as well as on the paper. Enlarge it and later on you will work cell by cell. It’s not so hard as long as you have a proper observation. It just takes some times and focus. To avoid ruining the value, it helps to first define the contrast. The paper is white, yes? So the paper—by default—has defined your highlight, the brightest of the bright. Your job now is to define the shadow. So do the darkest of the dark first and after that, you’d have value points for the darkest and the brightest part of your drawing. After that, you could also define your middle-tones. Try to identify the 50% gray areas of your object and define that on your paper. It doesn’t have to be big and thorough, just some small parts so that you’d remember that *that* value is the middle-tones. And finally, the rest is the journey. Work slowly, cell by cell. Observe closely and patiently. Focus. Use the guidance of shadow, middle-tones and highlight you defined earlier. It’s a long ride but if you enjoy it, you’d be there in no time. [Sold] THE ARTIST'S BLOCK (original drawing) This is how I made the artist palette very black 🐈⬛️ Four layers of black ink! https://lnkd.in/gSGxgpqN This drawing is a portrayal of the creative struggle faced by all kinds of artists who must summon their inner muse to conjure something out of nothing. In this elusive state, known as creative block, ideas do exist, but they seem to lack that special spark that propels one to surpass their own creative boundaries. The character in the drawing clutches a colossal black artist palette, a symbol of their craft, and the very tool that should enable them to fully embrace their creative potential. However, the palette is cracked right in the middle, a poignant representation of the struggles that hold them back, hindering them from realizing their true potential. May "The Artist's Block" serve as a reminder that creative blockages are a natural part of the creative process and can be overcome with perseverance, self-compassion, and a willingness to explore the unknown. One dot, when alone, doesn’t seem like much. But when hundreds of dots come together, it can make something beautiful. Just like one human vs many. Alone, it can do some things, but together, it can create miracles. There is wonder in this. I love to use dots in my creations because as I paint, one dot at a time, to create a piece of art, I am taking something that is small into something that is so much more.
