Global Nurse Leader | Helping C-Suite healthcare leaders reduce costly overtime, burnout, and high resignation rates while improving staff engagement in 45 days | Book Your FREE ‘Work Smarter NOT Harder’ call: Link ⬇️
"People may not always hear your words, but they will always feel your attitude." – John Maxwell In nursing leadership, the way we approach each moment speaks louder than anything we say. It's not just about what we communicate; it’s about how we show up for our teams and patients—day in and day out. True leadership means leading with empathy, resilience, and an unwavering commitment to excellence. When your attitude reflects compassion and purpose, it inspires those around you to feel valued and seen. In an industry often burdened by burnout, it’s that presence and positive energy that motivates teams to push forward, even through the toughest challenges. At Nurses Take The Lead, we empower healthcare leaders to elevate their leadership style, fostering an environment where people feel appreciated and heard. When leaders embody a values-driven approach, we don’t just manage teams—we build cultures where every nurse can thrive, leading to better performance and greater outcomes for both staff and patients. #LeadershipMatters #NursesLead #AttitudeInAction #PeoplePerformanceProfit

"The blessings of the Angels are fulfilled through the Nurses". The hierarchy of the nursing staff is deemed to serve humanity efficiently, managing in a well organized way, by giving the best possible patient care. "Becoming the Chief Nurse - The Science, The Stories, The Truth"; by Dr. Angela Prestia, PhD, RN, NE-BC; will be enlightening, empowering, empathetic, and enterprising for one and all to reach the height of their own prowess; to serve like Florence Nightingale, the founder of modern nursing. Dr. Angela Prestia's "Becoming the Chief Nurse - The Science, The Stories, The Truth" book will serve as a manager and trainer of nurses to help guide them to be more resourceful and innovative in the most noble field of nursing.
Someone recently asked me, "Can a nurse reasonably expect to lead in a specialty in which they have never practiced?" It's a good question. My answer is this: Leadership is a clinical specialty recognized by the ANCC. If we continue to hire seasoned clinicians into leadership roles only because they are expert clinicians, we are setting them, and our teams, up to fail. Insist on a dedication to the pursuit of leadership expertise. To leadership as its own field. Watch our teams soar. #nurse #nurseleader #healthcareleadership #moralleadership #servantleadership #transformationalleadership

Thanks for sharing Peter Kirby, DNP, RN, NPD-BC, CLSSGB This is truly inspiring! 🌟 Embracing humility, in nursing leadership goes beyond being modest; it entails creating an environment where everyone feels respected and heard. It involves being approachable welcoming feedback and being open to learning from individuals at all levels. This approach not strengthens team dynamics. Also significantly enhances patient care by fostering a culture of continuous improvement and empathy. Incorporating humility into leadership means listening, acknowledging ones limitations and being transparent about mistakes. It involves prioritizing the needs and well being of both the team and patients over recognition. By doing we establish an inclusive, fair and compassionate healthcare setting. How can I integrate humility? I make an effort to listen more than I speak celebrate my teams accomplishments and consistently seek opportunities for professional development. It's a journey of growth and self reflection. What are your strategies, for leading with humility? 🤔💬 Lets exchange insights. Learn from each other to elevate nursing leadership as a whole. #LeadWithEmpathy #HealthcareInnovation #DiversityInHealthcare

#nursesonlinkedin We're talking a lot about advocacy, leadership, national committee work, and professionalism in CRNA school. For so many of my colleagues, this was their first real exposure to it. One common thread was the lack of emphasis on these things in nursing school. It got me thinking. In nursing, are some of the problems related to a lack of true education about these topics in formative nursing education? Is the annual trip to the state house and class or lecture on leadership enough? Do we foster a lack of professional development and involvement by not exposing current issues in the local, state, or federal government that may affect our patients or profession, while in nursing school? Do we count on leadership knowledge to be taught in an MSN or DNP program, or through a professional mentor? What was your experience in nursing school? How did you become a leader? What tips would you give to those around you?
