In exchange for more flexibility, charter public schools must meet high accountability standards to various stakeholders — education and public officials, teachers, families, and communities. 🏫🌟 With the freedom to innovate curricula, charter public schools excel while adhering to state-set standards. In a world where one size doesn't fit all, charter public schools in MA offer an education that adds up. They inspire a new narrative where students are empowered, educators are innovative, and communities are invested in shaping the future of education. 🌎✏️ #EdThatAddsUp

The state of many schools, both private and public, in our country is concerning. While it's tempting to call for the closure of substandard private schools, the reality is that many of these institutions, despite their shortcomings, are still providing better education than government-owned schools. This situation highlights a deeper issue in our education system. Instead of simply shutting down schools, we need comprehensive reform. This includes improving teacher training, upgrading facilities, reducing class sizes, and implementing modern teaching methods. Until we address these systemic issues, closing substandard schools might do more harm than good by leaving students with even fewer educational options. #parents #parentslife #school #education #educational #educationmatters #teachers #teachersupportteachers #teachersforteachers #teachershelpteachers #teachersinspireteachers #learning #learninganddevelopment #educationfirst #educationispower #parentsupport

A RAND study finds curriculum restrictions are having an effect even on educators in states without limits on instruction. The 65% of teachers nationwide deciding to limit instruction as of 2023 is nearly double the share of teachers in states that have enacted restrictive policies. As of January 2023, 18 states had passed policies restricting teachers’ instruction, according to RAND’s findings from the 2023 State of the American Teacher Survey. In the year since, another 2 states have passed such policies, said Ashley Woo, assistant policy researcher at RAND. #curriculum #teachers
