According to the European Union Agency for Cybersecurity (ENISA), one fifth of Europe's #securityincidents in 2023 involved public administration. 13 percent targeted digital infrastructure and digital services. Small public authorities or companies (SMEs) are not necessarily the prime target. However, they can serve as gateways to attack large corporations or states, for example if SMEs are their suppliers. Creating safer Europe. Europe needs its own innovations to balance Global trade and economy. European software solutions are needed to foster its independence, making secure Europe and drive digitalization. US is dominating digitalization and software and ICT markets. Among top 20 ICT companies, 19 are coming from US and from the rest of the World only German SAP is the exception being the only single one on that list. The situation is not looking good even if we look at the list of TOP 100 ICT and software companies. US is dominating the markets and Europe is coming more and more the subsidiary economy. Entrepreneurs too often too fast are ready to sell their companies. Buyers are many times coming from US. We need more risk taking attitude, entrepreneurs and companies who share the same mindset as many entrepreneurs in US. In US, they have global class visions and they want to conquer the World, not just to make next company that can be acquired. Here at Dream Broker, we want to become the next Nokia and Skype. However, Microsoft acquired Nokia mobile phones and Skype. We want to drive European interest and keep the company independent. Our company is not for sale. Our software products are. The global trade needs that there is at least one truly global software company challenging Microsoft Teams, Zoom, Cisco Webex, Google Meet and Salesforce.com Slack. Easier said that done, but that is the entrepreneurial mind. I am priviledged to have that many employees and colleagues who are ready to give it all and try how far we can get.
🇪🇺 🇫🇮 With Europe needing domestic alternatives to cyber secure communication solutions now more than ever, Dream Broker provides solutions that align perfectly with the EU's strategic objectives for digital communication. (European Commission Press Release: https://hubs.ly/Q02FxS3c0) If you want to take charge of your organisation's communication and dive into peace of mind this summer, we are here for you. Czechia and Germany on Friday revealed that they were the target of a long-term cyber espionage campaign conducted by the Russia-linked nation-state actor known as APT28. Germany's Federal Government (aka Bundesregierung) attributed the threat actor to a cyber attack aimed at the Executive Committee of the Social Democratic Party using the same Outlook vulnerability for a "relatively long period," allowing it to "compromise numerous email accounts." The security flaw in question is CVE-2023-23397, a now-patched critical privilege escalation bug in Outlook that could allow an adversary to access Net-NTLMv2 hashes and then use them to authenticate themselves by means of a relay attack. CISA Director Jen Easterly emphasized at the RSA Conference 2024 that making software "secure by design" is crucial to reducing ransomware and cyberattacks, advocating for secure technology to become the norm. Highlighting recent breaches, such as the $22 million ransomware payment by UnitedHealth and the indictment of LockBit's alleged leader, Easterly stressed the importance of collective action across the tech ecosystem and leveraging federal procurement power to demand secure products. Additionally, Easterly mentioned ongoing threats from Chinese and Russian cyber actors targeting critical infrastructure. Former CISA chief Chris Krebs also noted the need for regulatory and legislative actions to bolster cybersecurity standards. Over 60 tech companies are expected to sign a pledge to develop more secure technology. #LetsBeCarefulOutThere #flcc270
