Life is a buffet. What are you ordering? Greetings, lovely human. Popping in to remind you that... Every complaint you utter is like ordering a dish you dislike at a restaurant. When you focus on what's going wrong, you ask for seconds of the same stuff. Stop pilling your plate with regrets and worries. Stop ordering disappointment-glazed donuts filled with memories of past failures. Let's order something else off that menu, shall we? What would you like to experience more of? Let's order that! Bon Appetit! P.S. I hope you got this message – or do I need to appear on your breakfast toast tomorrow? #personaldevelopment #mindset #success #attitude

Answer me this: I bet I know what your answer is.. When on a business lunch, what do you tend to order more than anything else? Think about it. Is it a Chicken Caesar Salad? Chicken Caesar Salad has turned into the Espresso Martini of lunch. If you are going to open for lunch or open a lunch place, you better nail the CCS. It is the item that will sell the most and because of this, it will be the reason people come back and try the rest of your menu or decide against it. It's not terribly difficult to get customers to return, if you know what to focus on. If you made it this far in the post, you're probably interested in this stuff. Or you went to high school with me and remember a very different version of me. If it's the former, follow along and share with someone you think might enjoy this or who just orders Chicken Caesar Salad's. #restaurant #hospitalityindustry #restaurantowner

1.75mw Site for Sale for Crypto Miners & AI Compute + We Sell Transformers (30-40/mo. in 8-12 weeks). Head of Sales | Sales Strategist
Sales is similar to this chef making a Turkish Pizza. It takes a specific process with unique ingredients. Imagine if a chef at a premium restaurant shows up on a busy Friday with a menu that they have never cooked before..what would be the outcome? Probably a bunch of upset customers if the dish isn’t superb. The same happens with our customers when we fail to plan our sales calls. Showing up and acting on the fly is a recipe for disaster. Fail to plan. Fail to win. Ps this pizza sure does look good. 😋 #sales #ai

Something I heard today 🤯 A bad server serving at a restaurant thinks that they are serving food. A great server knows that they are serving people food. Which one do you think is getting the results they want? The one that’s getting better tips & people want to go back and see? It all comes down to mindset, how you’re presenting yourself, and how you’re serving others. #servingothers #helpingothers #transforminglives #transformation #mindset

What does the Grateful Dead have in common with a made from scratch restaurant? Yesterday, I was chatting with a chef who constantly introduced new soups on his menu. He said, "everyday I am making a new soup. I keep some favorites around and by introducing new soup and salad combinations it keeps the menu fresh." Soups and salads...those extra high margin menu items that wouldn't every restaurant like people to buy more of are part of the draw. A bit of adventure for those customers that enjoy the other aspects of the restaurant. The variety made me think of the Dead. That is how they built loyalty and community. That is why people would travel with them on tour to hear the new versions of the songs. How are you keeping your business fresh in the minds of consumers? What is the draw to get people to try your product and service? How do you create incentives for the up sale? One of the best ways to make more money quickly is to get more of the purchases from the people who already trust you? How can you do that in your business? #strategy

Let me tell you about Single Burger. It opened in a fancy street in Milan. Famous chefs were behind it, promising special burgers. But surprise! The burgers were actually from McDonald’s! Yes, the regular ones. They used nice plates to make them look fancier. People happily ate these McDonald’s burgers for two days, thinking they were eating something very special. It shows how something looks can change how we feel about it. The Single Burger Prank underscores a fundamental principle applicable across industries: the product must undoubtedly be of quality, but it’s the amalgamation of the product and its presentation that truly resonates with consumers. It elucidates the imperative nature of crafting an image that aligns with the expectations and desires of your audience. So, whether you're cooking or running a company, remember: HOW THINGS LOOK IS JUST AS IMPORTANT AS HOW GOOD THEY ARE. It's what makes people like and remember what you offer.

BEYOND THE PLATE: (A Chef's Perspective) As chefs, we spend our days creating dishes, perfecting flavors, and plating beautiful food. But the truth is, the best meals go way beyond the plate. For me, cooking is about connection📌 It's the laughter shared over a family dinner, the stories swapped with colleagues over lunch, or the joy of seeing someone savor a bite you've crafted😊 This week, I challenge you to Think about the memories you create alongside the meals you cook🧑🍳 Who will you share a table with? What stories will be told? Fellow chefs, what are your favorite ways to foster connection through food? Share your stories and tips in the comments! Let's inspire each other to create not just delicious dishes, but lasting memories. #CulinaryConnections #chef #monday #passiondriven

Anthony Bourdain once said:… "Eat at a local restaurant tonight. Get the cream sauce. Have a cold pint at 4 o’clock in a mostly empty bar. Go somewhere you’ve never been. Listen to someone you think may have nothing in common with you. Order the steak rare. Eat an oyster. Have a negroni. Have two. Be open to a world where you may not understand or agree with the person next to you, but have a drink with them anyways. Eat slowly. Tip your server. Check in on your friends. Check in on yourself. Enjoy the ride." Is there any better advice than this?! We all seem to be relentlessly busy… I hope this weekend, you can just take a moment to slow down. Enjoy the moment. Put your phone away. And just breathe.

"Is everything okay?" . . . . How did this question become the default response for 90% of frontline staff in a restaurant? What does that question mean? The word "okay" represents mediocrity and if that's your staff's expectation, why did you get into the restaurant business? Train your staff to approach a table after the first couple of bites have been enjoyed and instead ask, "Is your steak cooked to your satisfaction? Are you enjoying your margarita? Are those Brussels sprouts delicious?" Direct questions like this, peppered with positive words like "delicious" or "enjoy" will elicit a positive response and add to the customer's enjoyment. It's not hard to do this, you just have to train daily with positive reinforcement. #hospitalityconsultant #restaurantmanagement
