Hey guys, this is Matt Cornell from Matthew Cornell Photography. I'm excited to share some insights from a recent photoshoot focused on one of the most iconic fashion staples: the Little Black Dress (LBD). The LBD is timeless, elegant, and versatile, and capturing its essence through photography is both a challenge and a thrill. Working with the stunning Maddi, we set out to highlight the sophistication and allure of several beautifully crafted LBDs. Here's how we approached it. Firstly, lighting was key. To emphasize the sleek lines and intricate details of the dresses, we used a mix of soft and dramatic lighting. This approach created depth and brought out the texture of the fabrics, ensuring each dress looked its best. Natural light was our go-to for capturing the dresses' fluidity, while studio lighting helped us achieve those sharp, high-fashion shots. Next, we focused on styling and posing. The LBD's simplicity allows for a lot of creativity. We experimented with different accessories, from bold statement pieces to delicate jewelry, to show the dress's versatility. Maddi's poses were designed to accentuate the dresses' silhouettes, using movement and angles to highlight their unique features. The backdrop also played a crucial role. We opted for classic and minimalist settings to ensure the dresses remained the focal point. A clean, elegant background complemented the LBDs perfectly, allowing their timeless style to shine through. Finally, in post-processing, our goal was to maintain the authenticity of the dresses while enhancing their best attributes. Subtle color correction and retouching helped bring out the richness of the blacks and the fine details of the designs. Photographing Little Black Dresses is a celebration of fashion's most enduring piece. It's about capturing their elegance, versatility, and timeless appeal, and I'm thrilled with the results from our shoot. Stay tuned for behind-the-scenes snippets and the final photos from this elegant collaboration.

𝐋𝐞𝐭’𝐬 𝐭𝐚𝐥𝐤 𝐚𝐛𝐨𝐮𝐭 𝐜𝐨𝐥𝐨𝐫𝐬 We all have that one color that stands out for us and holds a unique meaning. Personally, I love wearing blue. 💙 It’s calming and reminds me to stay demure and composed. 😁 You can never go wrong with blue in my book. For some, it’s a vibrant red! ❤️ Often associated with confidence and power. Others might prefer green 💚, which is linked to nature and tranquility. For some, it's yellow 💛, a cheerful color that brightens up any day, often associated with positivity and energy. Purple 💜 does it for some people, as we know purple screams luxury and royalty. For some, it’s black 🖤, white 🤍, brown 🤎, orange 🧡, or pink 💗… each color has its own unique charm. What’s your favorite color to wear and why? Let’s hear from you in the comments section!🤗

#COLOR #ABYSS or regular man … You surely heard the joke that male color registry can hold only a dozen different colors. 😂 Well it would be all fine, if it was only joke, but it’s true for most of regular men. 🌈 People who know me longer could confirm that I love vibrant colors and I am not shy to wear them. But even my #color #registry got a hard time these days. 👗 #Fashion products served by our CommentSold customers feature whooping 252 different color names !!! Thus, in generating insights for trends in our product catalog I stumbled upon hues I had no idea they exist. Well, if you can’t hold your laughter anymore, you can try for yourself where in color spectrum you would put following colors 👇 - #Cerise - #Nyanza - #Periwinkle - #Cordovan - #Verdigris - #Russet 🥋 Fortunately, this story has a #happyend: all 252 hues categorized into spectrum so that we now know if the item is more #yellow-ish or #blue-ish. Some cool i sights stemming from this. Stay tuned!

My dress up box was a big old cardboard box 📦 Inside were my mother’s old square dancing dresses, with her old petticoats one white and one bright red… My grandmother’s old hand bags and fake pearls… My great-grandmother’s old 1930’s costume jewelry, old gloves, hats, rhinestone pins, delicate shawls and handkerchiefs… I would dress in character most days, loved those petticoats, and make tea from berries outside with my neighbor Lucy 🫐 She had accidentally broken her mother’s cherished sand dollar once 🤍 We made the berry tea so diligently, as we would drink it afterwards in our self made outdoor fort 🫖 It tasted awful and heck could have been poisonous but it was 1992 and we didn’t know any better 🤍 We would have never admitted it tasted absolutely undrinkable 🤍 I often think about this whole dynamic with our creations…how hard it can be to admit you don’t actually like your own creation at times… There is so much magic in the actual creation process that sometimes the final result is but a pale comparison to your inner world experience of creating it 🤍 The lesson of the story is that the magic is truly in the making…and it’s okay when things don’t turn out as you expected 🤍 The creative process brings you deeper into your own Soul, and it has been such a guiding light on my own path back to Self 🕯️ Let your own curiosity spark you in new and exciting ways, and then keep following that curiosity to more complex levels of desire within you…as our desires are companions to our creativity…curiosity, desire and creativity weave us along the path 🤍 Sending you so much love 🤍 Always, Sarah 🌹 #goddesswisdom #divinefeminineart #creativeflowstate #creativitycoach #columbusart #artist #creativity

Every colour has a range of shades that can work for different skin tones. 🌈🕵️♀️ Black, for instance, can vary from deep, inky black to softer, matte black. Finding the right shade that complements your complexion can make a big difference. For example – from the image below – Black / Crow / Raven / Sable / Coal/ Obsidian would flatter those with deep / bright / cool colouring Midnight and Oil have more of a brown tone to them so would be better on a warmer skin tone Don’t be afraid to try different shades and see which ones make you feel your best. Remember, style is about having fun and expressing yourself, so embrace all the colours and make them work for you! #personalstyle, #colourconfidence, #personalstylist, #stylecoach
