How did POYA grow from 37 stores in 2010 to over 370 in 2024? 🤔 Beauty and household goods retailer, POYA International Co., Ltd. opened a humongous flagship store across from SOGO on Zhongxiao East Road and the corner of Fuxing South Road in Taipei in 2020, the city's glitziest retail location. You might be thinking 'so what?' Well.....POYA started as a Tainan Jewlery retailer in traditional markets in the 80's and has now ascended to going toe-to-toe with international giants like Watsons Taiwan and the beauty counters of Taiwan's most premium department stores. Even a decade ago, its stores were mostly only found in Southern and Central Taiwan, and was generally considered a provinical low-cost retailer. Despite coming from humble roots, POYA is extremely data-driven, tech savvy, innovative, customer-centric and takes a long-term strategic approach to everything it does. POYA is a #Taiwan local retail hero and its origin story is worth telling. In this article I take a deep dive in to how POYA achieved this. https://lnkd.in/gXHNz-yd

Very informative, I had no idea about POYA's history, just assumed they were always a giant.

Hey, interesting take! Btw, you know that the zongxiao fuxing location used to be rented by Net, very similar story that you wrote in the fashion industry!
