Chief Executive Officer of the National Museum of the Royal Navy, passionate about historic ships & collections. I love connecting the Royal Navy’s past, present and future with our communities and seeing what happens!
Past and Present #2. Watch this great video with our Curator and submarine veterans talking about the transition from diesel submarines to the first nuclear boats. If the Resolution class of the 1960s felt different, what will they make of the Dreadnought Class when it arrives?
We are privileged to be able to speak with the military professionals who keep us safe, as part of our work delivering the new Dreadnought Class submarines for the Royal Navy. Recently we met with staff and former submariners who serve as volunteer guides at The National Museum of the Royal Navy. It was fascinating to hear from them about their experiences on board, and to get their insights on the next generation of Dreadnought Class submarines that we're building. You can watch the video below. 🔗 Find out more about the Dreadnought Programme and the Submarine Museum with the weblinks in the comments.
