Something smells good... 🍛 Chefs from one of London's most famous Indian restaurants joined counterparts on the UK flagship as HMS Queen Elizabeth hosted a cultural day celebrating the Hindu festival of Navaratri. The team from the Punjab in Covent Garden – which has been serving Asian meals to Londoners since 1946 – produced a top-notch curry, enjoyed by sailors and guests alongside traditional Hindu dancing and music in the aircraft carrier’s hangar. 💃🎶 Read more: https://lnkd.in/dg_Nab49

A Formidable history - and an inspirational future. Work today began on the third Type 31 frigate, HMS Formidable, at Babcock’s facility in Rosyth. She will join HMS Venturer and Active – already under construction – and HMS Bulldog and Campbeltown in the Inspiration class, each named after a vessel whose deeds have gone down in the annals of the Senior Service. Trojan force This is HMS Agamemnon, named for the Greek warrior king, and the sixth of seven Astute-class hunter-killer submarines now in the water.
