At ANY point during a recruitment process it’s ok to change your mind. It really is. It’s your life/business. If you do change your mind though, be honest with the people hiring/interviewing/your recruiter/yourself don’t just go hiding. PS - This works for both clients and candidates. #recruitment #ghosting #career
I saw somebody’s post the other day about this…they were being ghosted by their candidate who is also their NEXT DOOR NEIGHBOUR. Talk about awkward.
100% agree with this.. Nothing worse than being left in the lurch. No issues what so ever if someone changes their mind. It can easily be managed by all, as long as everything is communicated. If you ever decide to go back to the recruiter/client after blanking them because you changed your mind, they are going to think twice about working with you as no one wants to be in that position.
100% with you!
This! You're a grown ass adult. You know what's best for you. Just say!
Yes! 👏👏
Absolutely Matt, we're only human - we shouldn't feel bad for changing our minds. But I agree 100% - being open and honest about it is key. Why burn bridges with recruiters and employers by ghosting just because you're afraid of being honest? It's not worth it.
It appears, ghosting is rife everywhere these days!
