Know of any companies hiring for cyber security/analysis positions, remote or in the east Iowa area? Now think again - which of those are legitimately interested in hiring veterans? Because we all know, there's plenty of companies out there who pay lip service to the "supporting our military vets" only to pull out that trusty old excuse - "overqualified & under-experienced". And that's if they even bother to respond to a job application at all. (side note - what happened to the common courtesy of a thanks-but-no-thanks carbon copy rejection letter?) So tell me - who do you know who's actually willing to give these guys a chance as they attempt to move into the corporate world? #milspouse #militaryretirement #dontmakememoveagain #transitions #veteran #jobsearch #readytowork

VETS2INDUSTRY #recruiter and #military talent lead family members, We have many #cybersecurity transitioning service members, veterans, and military spouses that are career seeking and companies like Client Solution Architects with Heather Kline as their talent rep, have been super successful in hiring amazing veterans into their cybersecurity divisions. I want to give all #recruiters, #hiring managers, and #business owners direct access to these heroes who want to continue serving the US by safeguarding the critical infrastructure of the nation, and protecting private/public/and #DoD systems through patching vulnerabilities, writing the code of the next generation, stopping hacks in real time, consulting on how your business can shore up no-fail systems that allow your company to run, mitigating risks, and become skilled in Governance Risk and Compliance to ensure your business achieves and maintains the most current regulatory compliance. POST BELOW IN THE COMMENTS with the Name of your company and Open roles, along with contact information, if you are currently seeking cybersecurity talent. Once we have a list of all the companies, we will make connections with you and those cybersecurity folks that we have throughout the VETS2INDUSTRY network and partner networks. This is all FREE. No costs for access to these professionals. This is how #VETS2INDUSTRY fills our cup! We dedicate our free time to helping all our nations service members, Veterans, Military Spouses, Gold Star Family Members, Caregivers, and dependent children to learn about free resources, benefits, services, scholarships, knowledge, and access professional relationships through monthly networking opportunities. We also have a job board on the VETS2INDUSTRY webpage where we connect our military community with all of you all and your posted careers. Let's hear from you if your company is hiring or will soon be hiring! If you know a company that is hiring, please tag the recruiter and the name of the company in the comments so they can see this post #veterans #hiremilitary #actnoweducation

Founder of Solve Transition | Professor Cybersecurity | Chief Security Officer | On a mission to train and mentor Military & Police Veterans to Cybersecurity Careers & address Social Cultural Inequity.
The Top 3 things I learnt from my failures. "Failure is the Tuition You Pay for Success" - A Veteran's Perspective As a military and police veteran, I’ve learned that failure isn’t the end—it’s the beginning of a journey towards success. In the service, we faced challenges, setbacks, and obstacles that tested our patience and resilience. Each failure taught us valuable lessons, shaping our path to success. In transitioning to civilian careers, especially in fields like cybersecurity, the same principle applies. Embracing failure as a learning experience allows us to grow, adapt, and excel. Here’s what we’ve learned: 1. Resilience: Every setback is a step forward in building mental and emotional strength. 2. Adaptability: Failure pushes us to find innovative solutions and adapt to new situations. It has taught me to manage my language and responses rather than my reaction. 3. Continuous Learning: Each mistake is a lesson that enhances our skills and knowledge. Let’s celebrate our failures as stepping stones to success. Together, we can turn every challenge into an opportunity for growth. Operations Manager for the city's only Female Veteran Owned Armed Security Service/ Training Instructor at WarEagle Training Academy/ Defensive Firearms Instructor for the NRA
LinkedIn is now filled with memes, dinner photos, political opinions, ads, and incredibly annoying long posts about how we should all consider some hiring practices that overlook little things...like work history, experience, and drive. And those same people posting that crap wonder why no one wants to work anymore. Make LinkedIn Networking Again. I want to staff as many well-trained, dedicated, family-driven, Veterans as I can in every corner of Military City, protecting you, your children, your businesses, and your employees. If you want to make a change If you want to improve your workplace If you want to do something more meaningful than showing me you cooked your steak medium well and it tasted great... Make Armed Security a priority in the budget, not an afterthought. Hire Wareagle Security Services #Texas #security #veteranowned #Femaleownedbusiness
