Beginning with the 2024-25 academic year, the School of Nursing will add a second admissions window each spring semester to its current fall-only admissions cycle! According to the Georgia Hospital Association, there is a current statewide shortage of 10,000-plus nurses — a deficit that is expected to worsen in the next decade as Georgia’s population ages and as demand for healthcare services increases. Columbus State University’s School of Nursing is responding to those projections through a new admissions cycle aimed at moving graduates into the workforce sooner. Executive Director, Florida Center for Nursing and Associate Professor at USF College of Nursing President, National Forum of State Nursing Workforce Centers
Florida Center for Nursing released the 2023 NCLEX Report. And it’s getting a lot of attention. If you care about nursing then you need to read this report! https://lnkd.in/e7WyJtmz The Florida Center for Nursing's 2023 NCLEX Report provides information about Florida's NCLEX pass rates. Evaluation of NCLEX pass rates is a critical step in overall evaluation of the State's nursing workforce as newly licensed nurses are often employed to fill vacant nursing positions. Graduates who fail the NCLEX cannot enter the workforce as nurses. A consistent inability for employers to fill vacant nursing positions may result in decreased access to quality and safe nursing care for the people and visitors of Florida.

How smart do nursing students to need to be to ass NVLEX? Let’s dispel this myth right now. Nursing students you simply need to study and work hard to pass NCLEX exam. Some of the brightest and smartest nursing students I have tutored have failed NCLEX numerous times. Many students report going to nursing schools where they did not get a good grasp on content. This can definitely affect how a nursing student will do on NCLEX exam. The most successful nursing students work hard, persevere, & don’t give up on themselves. I wasn’t an A student in nursing school. But I worked hard in grad school and graduated with honors! So if I can do it, so can you! Hit the follow button for more NGN/nursing school tips/tricks! For NCLEX tutoring/coaching, find me in my bio, click on my site, & click the green consult button!
