Congratulations to Dr. Rohit K Sachan (Assistant Professor #scsetbennett) for acceptance of the #research paper, “Performance evaluation of an anti-predatory nature-inspired algorithm for small scale to very high scale problems” for #publication in International Journal of Information Technology, Springer. Anti-Predatory Nature-Inspired Algorithm (APNIA) is designed to emulate the anti-predatory behaviour of frogs to solve optimization problems. It has a good convergence rate and offers a good balance between exploration and exploitation. It preserves diversity during the optimization process. This work aims to test the strength and resilience of APNIA by finding the optimal solution for small to very high-scale unconstrained optimization problems. This work also evaluates the convergence analysis of APNIA. The performance and convergence measures of APNIA are evaluated against the well-known nature-inspired algorithms and over well-known problems through the four experimental evaluations. Today I presented my little old theoretical model of diffusion innovations at EU-SPRI conference. Revisiting that model and adding a bit more depth through what I gained over these years, was a bit like travelling to a familiar town after a long while. And what a great group of colleagues, ready to contribute to most theoretical, most empirical and anything in between, even at 8.45 in the morning! Such comparisons run the risk of conflating non-random selection into the program with its causal effects. By randomly assigning individuals to participate in the program or not, experimental evaluations remove the potential for non-random selection to bias comparisons of participants and non-participants. In so doing, they provide compelling causal evidence of program effects.
