Tell us what you think! The Kansas Coalition Against Sexual and Domestic Violence (KCSDV) invites you to participate in an anonymous partner survey focused on the primary prevention of sexual violence. We know that stopping sexual violence before it has a chance to happen is one of our greatest opportunities to create impact. We invite our allies, partners, and collaborators (past and present) to help us to focus our efforts. Your responses will directly impact what resources and programs we pursue. https://lnkd.in/gqwVtuS8

Party/Mindset Approach aside; if each of us starts with our own intimate behaviors with Awareness and Consent fist - then sweeping change could hit the country in less than 2 generations! I'll quote the most relevant part of this communication IMO follows: 'This National Sexual Assault Awareness and Prevention Month, let us each recommit to stepping up and doing our part to intervene in, prevent, and end sexual assault in our communities. Let us redouble our efforts to support and stand with survivors of sexual assault. Let us pledge to work together to create a society that is truly safe, where all Americans can pursue their dreams without fear of assault, abuse, or harassment.' -
On March 29, the White House issued a proclamation for Sexual Assault Awareness Month. "-- let us each recommit to stepping up and doing our part to intervene in, prevent, and end sexual assault in our communities. " - President Joe Biden

April is Sexual Assault Awareness and Prevention Month. This month we recommit - as advocates and as a community - to doing our part to intervene in, prevent, and end sexual assault. To stand with survivors. To hold perpetrators accountable. Each one of us can help promote healthy and positive relationships that are based on respect, safety and equality. This year’s Sexual Assault Awareness and Prevention Month theme is “Building Connected Communities." NCIS is dedicated to projects that address the needs of survivors, improve access to justice, enhance survivor safety, hold offenders accountable, and build a coordinated community. As we raise awareness of the many ways in which we can work together to put an end to the crime of sexual assault, NCIS has launched new information webpages for individuals seeking more information about reporting sexual assault: https://lnkd.in/e9744p5D #SAAM #saawarenessmonth #endsexualassault #awareness #prevention #endSA #sexualassault #survivor #report #ncistips

Sexual violence is a harsh reality that affects millions of people worldwide, shattering lives and leaving deep scars. It's time we come together to fight this epidemic. 🖤 Victims deserve justice, support, and a voice. By staying silent, we allow perpetrators to escape accountability. By speaking up, we empower survivors and demand change. What You Can Do: 🔹 Listen and Support: Be there for those who need to share their stories. 🔹 Speak Out: Use your voice to challenge the stigma and break the silence. 🔹 Educate Yourself and Others: Knowledge is power. Spread awareness about the impacts of sexual violence. 🔹 Demand Justice: Push for laws and policies that protect survivors and hold perpetrators accountable.Let’s raise our voices and stand against sexual violence. ✊ #BreakTheSilence #StandWithSurvivors #EndSexualViolence #JusticeForAll #VoicesAgainstViolence #ZimalUet #GirlsofUet

April is Sexual Assault Awareness Month. Sexual Assault Awareness Month (SAAM) is an annual campaign to raise public awareness about sexual assault and educate communities and individuals on how to prevent sexual violence in the United States. Each year during the month of April, state, territory, tribal and community-based organizations, rape crisis centers, government agencies, businesses, campuses and individuals plan events and activities to highlight sexual violence as a public health, human rights and social justice issue and reinforce the need for prevention efforts. #sexualassaultawarenessmonth #sexualassaultvictims #sexualviolence

As services who work with women who experience violence, we can always be better. Late last year ANROWS published research led by Professor Kelsey Hegarty that looks at both victim and survivor, and perpetrator, experiences of the service system. It has now been translated into an easy-to-digest stakeholder kit: https://lnkd.in/dPazCYY2
Seeking help for violence is a complex journey.
