On Oct. 22, MWC's Chris Lloyd and Ford Graham will speak at the 2024 IPT Credits & Incentives Symposium in Tucson, AZ. Lloyd will present an in-depth look at the 2024 legislative landscape and the upcoming presidential election, covering how legislative changes and the presidential election may impact federal, state, and local tax credits and incentives policies. Graham will present a comprehensive overview of the differences between abatements, exemptions, and rebates, along with calculation methods and interplay with tax increment financing.

On Oct. 7, the one-year anniversary of the Hamas terrorist attacks on Israel, Harry Kaplan was honored (along with several others) by the Jewish Federations of North Carolina. This photo is with two of the other honorees, NC State Senate President Pro Tem Phil Berger and NC Senator Bobby Hanig. Harry was honored specifically for his lobbying on behalf of the SHALOM Act which defines anti-Semitism in the North Carolina General Statutes.

On Oct. 2, MWC's Bernard L. McNamee was on a panel at the American Municipal Power conference in Columbus, OH. The panel discussed electric load growth, reliability, and RTOs.
