Can you sponsor Girls Club? 🩷 It feels like a lifetime since we came back to the office on the 2nd January, as we're sure it does for everyone else 😅 We've spent this time assessing our output, ensuring our resources are being directed to where they are most needed and fine-tuning our calendar for the rest of the year. As you may have seen, at the back end of last year we officially launched our 'Girls Club', an achievement we are incredibly proud of 🌟 Female-led, our girls club focuses on providing an environment of peer support for girls between the ages of 8-13 who are living with life-limiting health conditions, are a sibling of a child with a life-limiting health condition, or have unfortunately lost a parent or sibling. Our next session is due to take place on Tuesday 18th February, and we would love for YOU to get involved. We're looking for sponsorships for these sessions which can include; 1️⃣ Covering the cost of food & drinks provision throughout the session 2️⃣ Covering the cost of craft materials we use in the session 3️⃣ Covering the cost of small gifts / momentos for the girls for each session The impact this support group is having for young girls in the Derbyshire region is incredible, and you have the opportunity to be a part of that! The smiles from the girls in the photo below really says it all... If you're interested in making a difference, please email memories@meanddee.co.uk, or call the office on 01332 297 011. Happy Juneteenth! Whether or not you have today off here are some ways you can observe Juneteenth: ✨ Education and Reflection: Take time to learn about the history of Juneteenth and its significance. Reflect on its impact on American history and the ongoing struggle for racial equality. ✨ Community Events: Attend local Juneteenth events, parades, or gatherings. Many communities host festivals with music, food, and discussions about African American culture and history. ✨ Support Black-Owned Businesses: Show support by shopping at black-owned businesses in your area or online. This can help contribute to economic empowerment within the community. ✨ Volunteer or Donate: Consider volunteering your time or donating to organizations that promote racial justice. ✨ Conversation and Dialogue: Engage in meaningful conversations with friends, family, and colleagues about the significance of Juneteenth and what it means for our society today. #juneteenth

A lot of people wish they had the time/skill/energy to volunteer. That's fair. We understand that there are a lot of barriers to volunteering. We're working on helping you kick them down, but there are still some unpredictable factors that may keep you from doing as much as you wish. Varying shifts or multiple jobs can eat at your time, and disabilities or chronic illnesses can cut into ability to commit. But there are ways to help the community without officially signing up with an organization, just by being there to fill a need. Shovelling the walk for a senior neighbour or someone with a newborn. Purging your closet to donate to a clothing drive. Watching a neighbour or friend's child for an hour while they get some tasks done. Making others aware of a community clean-up or gear collection. What makes us strong as a community is what makes us strong as a nation. Without people stepping up to help their neighbours, we wouldn't have survived. From shovelling out Pam and Jim's sidewalk so the mail carrier can get to their slot, to national healthcare and universal education, we look after each other. It is that simple. We can help you find a volunteer opportunity that can fit even the most random of schedules, and some don't require you to leave your home. Sign up and check out what we have today: https://buff.ly/48p5ewI #StrongCommunities #UnofficialVolunteering #CommunityBuilding #WeCanDoIt

Here’s why centering COMMUNITY at the heart of your brand is the key to growth Girls On The Go was first launched as a girl-only run club at the end of September 2023! 👟💓 Now, we host weekly creative, social, and friendship-making events in Liverpool, Manchester, and Birmingham, with the aim of making the UK a less lonely place for women. In less than a year, we have grown our online community to over 87,000 followers across our 3 locations and we have hosted hundreds of events with thousands of girls attending and making new friends🥹💓 Here’s what I think helped us to grow and nurture this amazing girl-only community ➡️ Listening is EVERYTHING. We always listen to our community and their suggestions because they are our priority above all else. We frequently ask our community what events they would like us to do, what content they would like to see and really INVOLVE them in the conversation. ➡️ Being OPEN and HONEST with our community. We always try to be as transparent as we can with our community - so when things go wrong/not as planned, we communicate that with them. Mutual respect and understanding is key to any sort of relationship. ➡️We use our platform and our VOICE to discuss uncomfortable & taboo subjects. Women’s issues shouldn’t be uncomfortable or controversial. We pride ourselves on always advocating for women in any we can, even if that means risking losing a few followers. ➡️ We don’t JUST look after the women in our community. We have always, and will always, use our platform to advocate for women in Liverpool by supporting and raising awareness about local women’s charities. Over the past 11 months, we have raised over £30,000 for women’s charities in Liverpool including Refugee Women Connect, RASA Merseyside and Liverpool Domestic Abuse Services. What do you think is the KEY to building a thriving community?? 🔑💞✨

Some of the most rewarding moments in my career have come from collaborating with organizations that drive meaningful change in our communities and advocate for important causes. Giving back isn’t just about financial contributions—it’s about showing up with time, effort, and heart. Here are four ways you can give back without opening your wallet: 1️⃣ Volunteer Your Expertise – Share your professional skills to help organizations strengthen their impact. 2️⃣ Mentor Someone – Offer guidance and support to individuals looking to grow, learn, or navigate challenges. 3️⃣ Share Resources – Donate supplies, tools, or materials that can empower others to achieve their goals. 4️⃣ Spread Awareness – Use your voice and platforms to amplify the missions of organizations making a difference. On this Giving Tuesday, I’m reflecting on the incredible work of community organizations and the collective power of generosity to create real change. This year, The Esteem Agency was honoured to support Enroute2 Success, 100 Women Who Care Brampton, Regeneration Outreach Community, REVIVE Peel and the CCAGA - Canadian Caribbean Amateur Golf Association. Together, we’re working to uplift and empower others, one initiative at a time. 💜 Let’s keep the spirit of generosity alive and continue to support the incredible organizations that strengthen our communities. #GivingTuesday #CommunityImpact #GiveBack #TheEsteemAgency
