I have new mentees that I am loving getting to know... A great question came up recently and I thought it would be a good one to share. The question was... What are some of the best ways I have seen new hires in #digitalmarketing start off on the right foot and stand out to their new companies once they sign that lovely acceptance note? 💻 I am fortunate to have many, but one stood out from memory. I once had hired a very talented specialist who was newer to the local area. She was scheduled to start in two weeks, but to help her stay informed on what the organization was doing I had invited her to our joint Google-hosted event. Didn't think much of it, but I was in shock the following Monday because my new hire came to the 3 day Google event and met all of the team in a group setting, learned about each of the organizational challenges we were facing, and had a jumpstart on her role before it ever truly began. This was so unexpected, but a very pleasant surprise since it also inspired the rest of the team and myself to become excited once again over our joint mission and why we all enjoyed working together in the first place. Talk about #teambuilding, she new how to make an entrance! 🕺 🙅♀️ This isn't to say everyone should start early at all, but simply that it was a great differentiator and a way to reinvigorate the entire team to a shared goal. Nice out-of-the-box thinking...especially if you are wildly excited for the role/company. This new hire became so invaluable, that I gladly transferred the reins to her when it came time for my next outside role. Conversely, Facebook deploys dedicated crews focused solely on catalysing its vast operations – each with clearly delineated objectives tailored to various stages of growth. The takeaway here? While setting sales targets is crucial, fostering a culture that cherishes a growth mindset can be your ace in the hole. These teams aren't just beneficial; they're pivotal. So, as you ponder over your next strategic move or contemplate overhauling your team dynamics, ask yourself: What kind of team am I eager to mould? I remember considering working for a big company but I couldn't get over this one idea: So much red tape. Big companies move slow. You have to get approval. A dozen people & a legal team review all content before it goes out. "Move fast and break things" is the slogan that made Facebook what it is today. With my business, I can make a decision today and implement it tomorrow. Faster feedback loops. Happier clients. Better business.

And for just $25 more, he’ll throw in a dramatic tantrum and a second race—which he’ll also lose. Talk about crafting a multi-stage offer! 😂 At first glance, it seems like a funny, quirky post, but look closer. This guy is a marketing GENIUS (and a cool racer, I guess). Here's what I learned: A good offer isn’t just a single transaction. It’s about layering value to keep your audience engaged and invested.
