Today we start by introducing you to an innovative online tool and Resource Center designed to provide a simple everyday approach to boosting mental health and well-being that's accessible to virtually everyone. Mike and Melissa Wilson are the Co creators of Medicinal Media and they join us to explain the concept, which is a really interesting one. So Mike, start with you in just a little bit of the background. How has this evolved since you launched it a year or so ago? Wow, it's it's beyond evolved way beyond what I originally imagined. What was the original? I said, what did you want to do? I really, I, I stumbled upon all of this research. My career had been in video games and I stumbled upon all 2025 years of research from all over the world that I was unaware of about how digital media can actually be quite beneficial for our mental health, which is sort of counter to this. Not really what we've typical narrative. You think of video. Yeah, right. But it's just like anything you intake, a lot of some is better for you than others. So we're just, we exist as a neutral. Nonprofit online Resource Center, just to spread awareness to people about what might be beneficial to them. So you've taken the best aspects of video and moved it into this model. So Melissa, let me talk to you. You've described this as a global mental health crisis and epidemic of isolation that we're living through. So what are we doing to address this through medicinal media? Well, I think there is certainly a health gap, a healthcare gap, and we're hoping to, we can't replace any, you know, traditional. Therapy, but we can certainly supplement it with these this information. So we have lots of resources there are apps there are online communities that are so beneficial to us and games that are beneficial to us and we just really want to shine a light and illuminate those tools that are out there for everyone. They're accessible some of them are free or really inexpensive and we just want people to know about that. Well, the accessibility like that seems to be the the key aspect of this because. Yes, you may still want to go to a therapist or a counselor, what have you. But this is something that anybody can do with their phone, their tablet everyday, right? Yeah. And it's a global crisis, a global problem, so. We're we're lucky in the states people are starting to talk about mental health much more openly. That's just not true in a lot of parts of the world still. And so something that anyone with a phone can access to just help them get through their day is really valuable. Did get a chance to check out the site, which is a medicinal dash media.org. And Melissa, there's so much content and you have hundreds or at least 100 and then pushing now 200 providers right. Yes, we do and we're really proud of the fact that we work with. Writers and artists from all over the world who create this original content for us, beautiful first person narratives about mental health issues and tools. And we also work with artists from all over the world who create original content, original art for each article that goes along with it. So it's it feels beautiful and joyous and accessible to people, which is really important. Then it's just another important tool that people can use to to feel better on a daily basis. That's right. And discussing mental health solutions doesn't have to be this sad draft right topic, you know, So that's, that's part of the reason we're really art forward. Everything's backed by science, but we lead by trying to make the conversation joyous and beautiful and shareable. Love what you do Appreciate it.
