🎉 Exciting News from Welsh Ambulance Services University NHS Trust to Test Drone-Delivered Defibrillators! 🎉 🛰️ In a groundbreaking move, the Welsh Ambulance Services University NHS Trust is pioneering plans to DELIVER defibrillators to patients using Drones/UAV! This innovative initiative could be a game-changer in Saving Lives across Wales. 🛰️ 🌳 With over 6,000 cardiac arrests occurring in Wales each year, quick access to defibrillators can be crucial. The service aims to bridge this gap, especially in Rural Areas, where access to defibrillators may be challenging. 🌳 ⚡ CARL POWELL from the Welsh Ambulance Services University NHS Trust emphasizes the importance of Early Intervention, stating that starting chest compressions and delivering an electric shock with a defibrillator could make all the difference between life and death. ⚡ 🚀 The "Drone-Delivered Defibrillators" project, in collaboration with the University of Warwick and SkyBound Enterprises, LLC, has already conducted test flightsservices to understand deployment speed. Now, they're interviewing individuals who have assisted cardiac arrest patients to gauge the potential impact of drone-delivered defibrillators. 🚀 🎓 Prof Nigel Rees, Assistant Director of Research & Innovation Services, highlights the Potential of this technology to improve survival rates by delivering defibrillators directly to bystanders, eliminating the need to leave the patient's side. 🎓 💡 Stay tuned for updates as the results of the Project Growth are expected to be announced in early 2025! 💡 #DroneTech #Drones #LifeSavingInnovation #CardiacHealth #MedicalInnovation #DronesForGood #HealthTech #EmergencyResponse #InnovationInHealthcare #WalesHealthcare #TechForGood #RescueTechnology #EmergencyResponse #TechInHealthcare #DigitalHealth #LifeSavers #SaveLives #HealthcareRevolution

Did you know there is a live ambulance location tracker for Queensland? I learnt this last night after midnight while waiting but as you can see the tracking and layout is a bit lacking. From what I could determine this was implemented around 2004-6 as a project and from the looks of it just maintained probably by an ICT team. This is a good example of what happens with technology and government. I have consulted for government, multiple times, on technology and where process was confused for technology (and vice versa). While there are individuals in government with technical skills a lot of the advancement of technology is more commonly driven by a relationship between a consulting group and a high level government official. I saw this more than a few times, even to the extent of the solution being agreed to then looking for a problem within government to use it on. Within government while there is occasionally an office for technology more often each department goes off and does it's own thing if they have enough resources to. Forward planning and thinking like a futurist when it comes to technology is something that is outsourced, and even that with it being largely consultant advisors (not all of whom actually have skills past being an advisor) pushing ones and twos. Another great example of this is the Queensland Government drone policy and world conference. In it I watched and listened to 10 different speakers sharing a stage all talking about how wonderful drones are because they can just go and buy one to get the data they needed, but none nor the policy talked about sharing that data between departments (even the ones that didn't go and buy a drone or have a budget to fly to a remote location). As a futurist I have talked to the State Government more than a few times about their technology planning and while when you are paid as a consultant they would hang off my every word, trying to do the same work and share the same concerns as an individual for free is a good way to be treated like you are wearing a tinfoil hat - the 1B annual savings for QLD voters I wrote up for the TMR (main roads) is an example of that. Government and Technology should not be the last stop nor should it be the cash cow for solutions without problems. It however is a area that requires both a vision and roadmap for technology as it is likely to happen for the population living under that government body to plan against AS WELL AS having a reasonable maintainable technology roadmap for itself to ensure a currency for operations + managing the cost that often blows out with government spending on maintaining legacy systems and technology. https://lnkd.in/g9itGi6D

Staying on the left side of the road, especially in India where driving on the left is the norm, is crucial for traffic safety and to maintain order on the roads. Consistently following this rule helps prevent head-on collisions, allows for smoother traffic flow, and reduces confusion among drivers. It's a fundamental aspect of road safety and adherence to traffic laws.
Our collaborative initiative promoting the "Keep Left to Give Way to Ambulance" campaign has enjoyed significant outreach. However, some have asked for a simple explanation of why it is important to stay on the left side of the road. How do we break down this concept in a clear and understandable way at the grassroots level? Please feel free to share your two cents.
