Is your hiring process focussed on the candidate or the company? Most are focussed on the needs of the company and not attracting talent. While the ultimate goal of hiring is to bring on a new person to meet the needs of the company, your hiring process should be focussed on attracting the best talent. This is done by developing a well developed hiring process that gives candidates a great experience as they go through the process. Part of my job is to help you develop that plan to help you find the best talent and give them a great first impression of your company.

Number one tip for Hiring Managers to secure the top talent in 2024? Speed up your hiring cycle. Force Recruitment has spoken to thousands of candidates in 2023 and there seems to be a common trend, the best employees are being snapped up quickly by efficient hiring teams. It's important to remember that the candidate is evaluating your company during this process and trying to decide if you are the type of organisation they would like to work for. The best employees want to work with the best companies and an inefficient hiring process is a terrible first impression, something you don't get to do twice. We have worked with many of our clients to revamp their hiring process and ensure that they are not missing out on the best talent that is being snapped up by their competitors. If you have a recurring sense of resentment when another candidate withdraws from your interview process, it may be time to reflect on your own procedures.

Want to know the secret to hiring the best talent in your industry? Have a slick, transparent, and prompt hiring process. Sounds simple, doesn’t it? An increasing number of companies miss out on the best talent because they don’t have an effective process in place. They spend hundreds of thousands of £££ on creating a strong brand, building a robust social media presence, advertising, and having an in-house Talent Acquisition team, but the speed and efficiency of the actual process isn’t there. - How quickly do you provide feedback on CVs? - How long does it take to book first interviews? - What is the process for providing interview feedback, both positive and negative? - Can you get the decision makers together for the second interview, negating the need for a third? - What is your deadline for making a final decision? - How long does it take to get an official letter out after a verbal offer has been made? Times have changed. No longer is your standing on the turnover league table enough for top talent to put up with a long, drawn-out process. We have seen fantastic candidates take less money with lesser-known companies because the hiring process was great and made them feel wanted.
