Hey LinkedIn community! 👋 Today, I'm excited to share a key learning from my journey in business analysis #Project_Release_Planning. It's not just about managing projects; it's about orchestrating success through strategic, incremental value delivery. Let's dive into the insights I've gained! 🛠️✨ 1/ Define Project Goals and Objectives: Example: Imagine a software development project for a CRM system. The goals include improving customer interactions, streamlining sales processes, and enhancing data management. 2/ Identify Features and Requirements: Example: Features like customer data management, sales pipeline tracking, and reporting functionalities are identified, each with its set of requirements, such as specific data fields and integration needs. 3/ Prioritize Features: Example: Prioritization becomes a strategic game. Customer data management takes precedence in the first release, followed by sales pipeline tracking and reporting functionalities. It's all about delivering the most value early on. 4/ Allocate Resources: Example: Determine the resources needed for each feature – development, testing, design efforts, and any external dependencies. Efficient resource allocation is key to project success. 5/ Create a Release Roadmap: Example: Develop a release plan outlining when each set of features will be delivered. The first release might focus on core customer data management, followed by subsequent releases enhancing additional functionalities. 6/ Define Increments of Value: Example: Each release delivers increments of value. The first release enables efficient customer data entry and retrieval, the second introduces advanced search options, and so on, enhancing the overall user experience with each iteration. 7/ Iterate and Adapt: Example: As the project progresses, gather feedback. If priorities shift or new insights emerge, be ready to adapt the release plan. Iterative planning allows for flexibility in response to evolving requirements. Why Project Release Planning Matters: 1/ Stakeholder Alignment: It ensures everyone is on the same page regarding goals, priorities, and expected outcomes for each release. 2/ Risk Management: Breaking down the project minimizes risks, making them easier to identify and mitigate. The iterative approach allows for early course correction. 3/ Incremental Value Delivery: Stakeholders receive value in increments rather than waiting for the entire project to complete, enhancing satisfaction and realizing benefits early. 4/ Resource Optimization: Efficient allocation of resources based on prioritized features ensures effective management of constraints. 5/ Adaptability: It embraces the iterative and adaptive nature of projects, allowing adjustments based on changing needs, technology, or market conditions. How about you? What are your experiences with orchestrating project releases? Let's share insights and stories! 🌟💬 #ProjectManagement #ReleasePlanning #BusinessAnalysis

It has been one month that I have switched back to consultancy. In my previous job I have learned a lot and the people there really have captured my heart 💕. But I also found out that I get energy in other type of challenges & way of working. So, I decided to be in an environment where I can not only work with processes & architecture from the IT point of view but also working on the way of working & culture I envision 💡. It's time to update my profile, so a small post to share my thoughts & speak up my gratitude for everyone I have worked with at Miko/Maas – the main team IT, team MIPR, team the Switch, team Delivery App – each and every one I got to know, thanks for everything! 🙏 I don't believe the grass is greener over here or greener over there It's just the greenest as it can be everywhere It wouldn't always get greener if you water it to be fair Cause every grass type in different landscapes needs other care Finding the right landscape is not only important but a challenge too But when it matches it will be the best path for you You will grow, dance and find your way through it You will feel it when & which landscape is the current best fit It just gives you peace with its' greenery and shape It doesn't mean you can't love any other landscape You can, but it is just not your place to be Be somewhere where you can work 200% with glee The most import thing is, that all landscape - no matter it fits me or not - has become a puzzle piece for my learning journey & growth path 🛤 . Please stay tuned for my journey in the wilderness of #BTPArchitecture, #CAP, #Fiori, #CDSviews, #SAPUI5, #SAPBuild, #SAPProcessAutomation, #NeptuneSoftware etc. etc. where I will step & dive deeper into - with a sprinkle of Culture & People mixed with it - in my upcoming adventure (yep back again but with new goals & visions 🎯 ) at Aiden 😊. *Do not mind my photoshop skills, it's about the symbolic meaning 😜.

I unf*ck your computer systems: making them work for you | Implementing ERP Systems 💻| Chief Get Sh*t Donerer | Mind Coding® Coach 💭🧠 | Dog Trainer | Serial Animal Rescuer 🐈⬛🐕🐕🐕🦺🐕🦺🦍 | Tea & Coffee Snob☕
Industry experience isn't necessarily what you're looking for... here's why! During my time as an independent consultant, I've been fortunate to have been involved in multiple ERP implementations, and other systems too. I've worked with a paper manufacturer, supermarket chain, a holiday company, a tourist attraction company, an injection-moulding plastics company, a hydro electric turbines company, a survival company (focused on marine vessels), a defence and aerospace company, a pallets circular supply chain company, a modular building company. One I even saved £2m in 3 days! Simply by thinking differently! One thing all of those industries have in common? I'd never worked in them before I worked with them! Did it hamper my ability to do the role? No Did it mean I brought new ways of thinking that they hadn't considered? Absolutely! The sweet spot comes from the collaboration of people who know your industry (ie your team) and those who know the systems (ie consultants like me) The combination is far more valuable than people who all think the same because they've all worked in the same industry! Have you ever been surprised by working with someone from a different industry?

We are thrilled to welcome two new colleagues to our team this June: Jarkko Peltonen and Janne Takala ☀️ Jarkko and Janne bring extensive experience in areas like transformation program and project management, ERP implementation, product and sales development, and product data management. "Communication, transparency, and aligned understanding are the keys to successful cooperation in the project organisation. Repeating these guidelines throughout the long project is essential, as it is very easy to get sidetracked for multiple reasons. One should never assume that the other party has understood your message the same way - it is wise to validate this", Jarkko says. "To ensure a successful transformation, listening to everyone involved is essential to gain a balanced perspective on what’s needed for a solution. Additionally, when defining the solution, it’s critical to consider all implementation requirements to ensure successful execution. Since people implement change, it's vital to communicate the transformation in a way that engages both their hearts and minds - addressing both rational and emotional levels - to secure their commitment and energy behind the execution", says Janne. 👉🏼 Get to know them better in our blog: https://lnkd.in/diCfKZ3G #midagonteam #transformation

I just got back from a trip to Europe that included a good mix of business and family time. I wanted to share a couple of highlights from my travels: First was getting to meet some of our amazing customers. The feedback was overwhelmingly positive. Our clients are very happy with our services and are eager to explore more with us. It is great to have great meetings… In every meeting, customers shared their roadmaps and asked how we can support their future growth. It's clear they're looking to us for more solutions, which speaks volumes about our strong track record. These conversations are driving our growth. We often start with a single application and then expand based on customer needs. Their insights shape our roadmap, pushing us to explore new areas and capabilities. This trip reinforced the depth of our customer relationships and the exciting potential ahead. Second highlight was getting to experience these Eiffel tower views with the family (pictured below). Time with family always puts into perspective what is important. Business is a lot of hard work and time away, but remains enjoyable. However, family is what makes it all worth it. Don’t lose that perspective!! Hope everyone is having a good start to the summer season. What are your summer plans?
