One thing I've noticed in retail (and beyond!) is that most organisations still operate in rigid silos. This hampers innovation, breaks CX, introduces security risks, and limits the view of the customer. Streamlining Network Operations: A Case Study As supply chain professionals, we know that efficient network design is the backbone of a successful business. Recently, I had the opportunity to lead a transformative project aimed at optimizing the network process for a major e-commerce retailer. The Challenge: With rapidly growing demand, the company was struggling to meet delivery expectations, causing customer dissatisfaction and high operational costs. The Solution: We conducted a comprehensive analysis of the existing process, identifying bottlenecks and areas for improvement. By implementing correct and innovative methods, and reconfiguring the data, we streamlined operations and improved operations by 12%. The Impact: Our strategic interventions not only improved customer experience but also resulted in substantial cost savings through increased productivity and reduced labour requirements.
