By doing so, the aim is to raise awareness and gather donations for the Cerebral Palsy Alliance to help in the research and support of Cerebral Palsy: 1️⃣ Support Critical Research - your support will fund groundbreaking research for early diagnosis and innovative treatments, reducing cerebral palsy birth dates by 40%. 2️⃣ Provide Assistive Technology - help raise the funds needed to supply essential devices that empower individuals to independently communicate and perform daily tasks. 3️⃣ Improve Lives of Babies - your participation enables early detection and therapies, enhancing newborns’ mobility and communication. Donate to My MS150 Fundraiser Below – Whether $20 or $200 every bit counts! Almost a year after ACL surgery, I’m back on the bike and taking on the MS150 this year! If you don’t know what it is, the MS150 is a 150+ mile bike ride over the course of two days. While that’s a neat accomplishment, the more important thing is that this ride is targeting to raise $9.4MM for the National Multiple Sclerosis (MS) Society in 2024. MS is a devastating, unpredictable disease. But money raised through Bike MS fuels cutting-edge MS research and critical services to ensure people affected by MS have the resources they need to live their best lives. And I want your help making that a reality! INTERESTING FACTS: - While there are other rides like it across the country, funds raised by this ride alone total more than the funds raised by all of the other Bike MS rides in the United States put together - Money raised in this ride stays in the area and over 80% goes to research, social programs, support and financial assistance to those with MS - I tore my ACL last year right before the MS150 and opted out of riding… but there are some cyclists who ride with only one leg, so clearly I had no excuse! https://lnkd.in/gfjJXAnF

What does your donation to Optometry Giving Sight (OGS) support? We use donations from the optometry community to provide grants to partner organizations for projects that address preventable blindness and vision impairment around the world. We fund projects that provide free- and low-cost vision exams and eyeglasses to meet the immediate need in areas where there is little to no access to eyecare. But we are also investing in long-term solutions by helping establish optometry schools in these areas, so that there are more optometrists available in underserved areas of the world. During the last year alone, OGS has funded 21 vision projects with 19 implementation partners. We’ve awarded over $930,000 in grants, and impacted more than 1.5 million individuals globally. Mateusz, the son of one of our colleagues from Ailleron (Piotr Warchoł) is fighting a critical battle with a heart defect. The only chance to save his heart is surgery at Boston Children's Hospital, but the costs are overwhelming – 400,000 USD.      In Poland, doctors only offer palliative treatment, which is intended to "improve the patient's quality of life," but it doesn’t fix the defects. This treatment leads to the development of a single-ventricular heart, which has many long-term complications, including reduced efficiency of the body and liver cirrhosis. Moreover, no one can predict how long a child with this condition will be able to live. Sometimes, it's only a few years.   You’ve shown many times that Software Minders act with respect and care about those in need.
