🌟 Gratitude Post: Thriving in a Small Company Culture! 🌟 Reflecting on the journey from an organizational giant to the close-knit community here at Daedalus Industrial, I can't help but feel an overwhelming sense of gratitude. In a smaller company, every day feels like a reminder of the value of being seen and heard. 🙌 In my previous role, the CEO and President felt like distant figures, unaware of the many cogs turning within the organization. Fast forward to now, where the CEO and President not only know my name but genuinely understand what I do and who I am as an individual. 🌈 Don't get me wrong; there is nothing untoward with leadership in these robust companies not knowing your name. The success of the organization relies on them looking at the bigger picture of the 10,000-employee machine to ensure everyone keeps their jobs. It is almost impossible to know every employee. However, there's just something truly special about being more than just a face in the crowd. Feeling welcomed, appreciated, and acknowledged by the leadership team creates an environment where you're a vital part of a family. 🤝 To have leaders who take the time to know each team member personally fosters a culture of genuine connection. I ran into Angela Rakis last week at a Symphony 6 event and she was giving me a hard time for all of my “new jobs” last week. We had a good laugh. She was a client of mine at Full Focus (and is doing great work in sales training…) Figured it would be good to clarify…I started Yoked Ventures. That is the business I own and operate under (website launching soon). But what is Yoked? It is where I help shoulder the growth opportunities with business owners and organizational leaders. It is fractional work, focused on clarity of ideal client, clear offer(s), fractional business development and sales functions and coaching. Bottom line, we increase the capacity of owners and leaders to grow their orgs. Been a blast so far. So why all the “new jobs”? Because my boy Jonathan Barnes of Work Heartily, LLC (who I am getting to work with as well) introduced me to the concept of “embedded ownership”. And it RESONATED with my heart. We don’t just touch and move on…we dig in. We actually take ownership! We get email addresses and phone numbers associated with the client. We engage in team meetings…we go all in and stay committed to achieving the dream of the owner. And we drive results! More to come…

Working together means winning together, and teamwork is at the heart of any great achievement. One is too small a number to achieve greatness. No one person can bring everything to the table. We have to rely on the skillsets of those on our team! None of us is as smart or as strong as all of us. We are only as strong as our weakest team member. Our team is our greatest separator because we are only as good as our team. While working as teams, we possess limitless possibilities, and we can do things that are far greater than each member of the team. 𝐃𝐨 𝐲𝐨𝐮 𝐫𝐞𝐚𝐥𝐥𝐲 𝐰𝐚𝐧𝐭 𝐭𝐨 𝐤𝐧𝐨𝐰 𝐰𝐡𝐞𝐭𝐡𝐞𝐫 𝐨𝐫 𝐧𝐨𝐭 𝐲𝐨𝐮 𝐚𝐫𝐞 𝐚 𝐠𝐫𝐞𝐚𝐭 𝐭𝐞𝐚𝐦 𝐩𝐥𝐚𝐲𝐞𝐫? Then try to answer the below questions yourself. ✅Am I making my team members feel smaller or valued? ✅Am I making others feel better than they really are by adding value, supporting, and encouraging them, or feel smaller and lose their confidence? ✅Are my team members feeling that they are better because of me being around them than they are on their own? ✅Am I a subtractor for my team or a multiplier who would enlarge the team? ✅Am I competing with my team members or complementing them? ✅Am I complimenting my team members or condescending them? ✅Am I adding value to my team members before they add value to me? ✅Am I serving my team members before they serve me? ✅Am I believing in my team members before they believe in me? ✅Am I judging them by who they are at this moment or looking at them as who they could become with little support, encouragement, and help?
