🌟Expanding Mentorship to Empower More Youth🌟 The Circle Program is thrilled to pilot an innovative Group Mentoring Program, pairing girls and youth with one or two mentors to strengthen connections and extend opportunities. This new approach allows us to reach more youth with our current mentors, creating a greater impact than ever before. Mentors Reba Lewis and Lilly Taccetta, who are leading this initiative, have already seen the power of these connections. Reba shared: "We’re paired with two sets of sisters, and while there was some nervousness at first, the girls quickly connected through laughter and shared camp memories. Watching them bond and hearing them say it was the 'best day ever' makes it all so rewarding. Being a co-mentor has been equally fulfilling, as Lilly and I have formed a strong partnership that completes the circle of support." By fostering community and connection, this group mentoring approach ensures every youth enrolled in the Circle Program can access meaningful guidance and friendships. It’s an incredible way to serve more participants while maintaining the program’s heart and mission. 💙 Thank you to Reba, Lilly, and everyone who is helping to make this expanded outreach a reality. Together, we’re creating life-changing opportunities for more youth across New Hampshire! #MentorshipMatters #ExpandingImpact #CircleCommunity #EmpoweringYouth

📝 Reflecting on 2024: How Our Teen Hub Family Made This Year Extraordinary As we approach the final weeks of 2024, I'm taking a moment to reflect on what truly made Teen Hub thrive this year - our incredible network of stakeholders who became family. This year taught us that youth empowerment isn't just about programs; it's about the ecosystem of support we've built together: Our dedicated teen participants who brought energy and fresh perspectives to every session Parent champions who trusted us with their most precious gift - their children's growth Community partners who opened doors for internships and mentorship opportunities Local businesses that sponsored our skill-building workshops Volunteer mentors who dedicated countless hours to our teens' development Educational institutions that collaborated on our academic support initiatives Grant-making organizations who believed in our vision Looking back, our biggest achievements came from collaborative efforts: Launched our first online peer-to-peer mentorship program Expanded our after-school support with another youth development NGO Got soccer kits for our upcoming soccer team Ran a successful mental health group for our teenagers Our teenagers’ grades went up and received academic awards. A successful career day planned by the Youth Hub team, our teenagers learned about so many career choices and how they can achieve their career goals. A successful hiking trip and camp experience for some of our participants. The magic happens when stakeholders become stakeholders: this year, we saw former teen participants return as volunteer mentors for holidays, we welcomed more teen participants, and local businesses create dedicated peer mentorship programs. As we close 2024, we're not just counting numbers - we're celebrating relationships that have transformed Teen Hub from a program into a community movement. To everyone who has been part of our journey: Thank you for believing in the power of youth development and for being the pillars that support our teens' dreams. Here's to stronger connections and even greater impact in 2025! Mentorship isn’t just guidance. It’s the lifeline that shapes futures. 📊 Studies show mentored youth are 55% more likely to enroll in college and 78% more likely to volunteer in their communities. When parents or guardians need support in guiding their youth, we step in as the village. Who’s stepping up for the next generation? Remember: It’s not about making a dollar—it’s about making a difference. Let’s mentor. Let’s lead. Let’s change lives. #MentorshipMatters #BlackExcellence #BreakTheCycle #Ittakesavillage

𝑮𝑶𝑻 𝑨 𝑺𝑬𝑽𝑬𝑵-𝒀𝑬𝑨𝑹-𝑶𝑳𝑫 𝑻𝑶 𝑺𝑻𝑨𝑹𝑻 𝑹𝑬𝑨𝑫𝑰𝑵𝑮 𝑳𝑰𝑲𝑬 𝑨 𝑷𝑹𝑶 As an education consultant, my tasks included providing necessary support for institutions and students to achieve their academic goals. I develop strategic plans to improve student outcomes and institutional performance. I also provide virtual assistance to reinforce learning for students who need learning support 𝑻𝒉𝒆 𝑪𝒉𝒂𝒍𝒍𝒆𝒏𝒈𝒆 Recently, I started engaging a 7-year-old pupil who could not read but he was quite enthusiastic. His parents were very worried. They had been in Ireland for three years, and anxiety had set in for them because his siblings were doing quite better at his age while they were in South Africa. 𝑾𝒆 𝑮𝒐𝒕 𝑺𝒕𝒂𝒓𝒕𝒆𝒅 I assured them that he would be fine. After about four sessions of one hour each, the mum was excited to say "My boy is reading." He started reading simple three-letter words. At this point, his confidence level hit the rooftop and he was always excited to sign into class. It's been a few months now and he is doing excellently well. Each time I look back at where the journey started, there is this satisfaction of having played a role in bringing a smile to the face of this family. My most rewarding moment was when, once after class, the mom recounted how my boy shared with neighbours that "Mr Innocent taught me to read." It brought tears to my eyes, such innocent yet powerful words expressing gratitude from a seven-year-old. I get these feedbacks every now and then supporting children, but this was quite mind-blowing for me. 𝑻𝒉𝒆 𝑺𝒕𝒓𝒂𝒕𝒆𝒈𝒚 Some of the strategies I adopted included the use of phonics to identify which letters represent which sounds and how to put those letter sounds together to read words. We had lots of pep talks on the benefits of reading and being among the "Big boys" and it always worked. I also adopted lots of positive reinforcement to encourage him to do more. #DAY6 #10daysLinkedInGrowthWithUche #LinkedInVisibilityChallenge #LinkedInGrowth #Mondaybehindthescene #TransitionDay #learning support #virtuallearning #educationleadership #educationmatter
