✨ Our recent Flash Mentoring event at the National University of Singapore brought together industry leaders and aspiring professionals to exchange knowledge and experience. One of the mentors, Pradeepan Arumugam, emphasised the crucial need to bridge the gap between academic learning and the realities of the working world. He highlighted that by engaging with industry professionals, students gain valuable 💡perspectives that are essential for navigating their future careers and instil confidence and motivation for the journey ahead. We would also like to extend our heartfelt thanks to the rest of the mentors—Edmund Ong, Fong Yin Lau and Jarius Draslaric —who generously took the time to share their expertise and guide the next generation of professionals. In today's world, effective mentoring goes beyond just guidance; it requires coaching skills 🧠 and a deep understanding of mental wellbeing 🌱. As mentors, it's crucial to be equipped with psychological first aid to recognise when someone is transitioning from stress to distress. These are the same skill sets required as leaders.
