We’re excited to collaborate once again with Singapore Semiconductor Industry Association (SSIA), bringing a fantastic set of mentors to guide and inspire students at Nanyang Technological University Singapore. Among them, Jerone Tan, who transitioned from an engineering background into finance, serves as a reminder that skills can be transferable, and career opportunities are broader than students might expect. In August, we've completed our penultimate WSQ-accredited Mentoring for Youths Course of the year! The dynamic two-day program, led by our trainer Gary Chia and co-facilitated by Josephine Wong, delved into the evolving landscape of mentorship. ✨ Our recent Flash Mentoring event at the National University of Singapore brought together industry leaders and aspiring professionals to exchange knowledge and experience. One of the mentors, Pradeepan Arumugam, emphasised the crucial need to bridge the gap between academic learning and the realities of the working world. He highlighted that by engaging with industry professionals, students gain valuable 💡perspectives that are essential for navigating their future careers and instil confidence and motivation for the journey ahead. We would also like to extend our heartfelt thanks to the rest of the mentors—Edmund Ong, Fong Yin Lau and Jarius Draslaric —who generously took the time to share their expertise and guide the next generation of professionals. This event is part of a growing series of Flash Mentoring sessions we are organising in collaboration with the Singapore Semiconductor Industry Association (SSIA) 🤝.
