We are thrilled to share the highlights from our recent “Be a Mentor” training for two groups of Team Mentors representing various esteemed organisations. 🌟 To name a few, the Ministry of Education, Singapore (MOE), the National Council of Social Service (NCSS), and the Ministry of Health (Singapore). These Team Mentors are appointed and led by the National Youth Council Singapore (NYC) in collaboration with the Public Service Division as part of the broader NYC Leaders Course 2024. Notably, over 90% of participants expressed confidence in their mentoring roles after gaining practical tools and strategies that enable greater and effective engagement with their mentees. Furthermore, we are pleased to announce a 100% satisfaction rate, a testament to the exceptional facilitation of Brian Liu, PBM , whose expertise and passion made the sessions both engaging and impactful. 👏 Some key takeaways shared by the Team Mentors include the importance of understanding mentees, focusing on their needs and building trust, so as to forge meaningful mentor-mentee relationships. In addition, the mentors cultivated valuable skills to trigger 💬 deeper conversations and foster more 🤝 profound connections with their mentees. To all 29 Team Mentors, thank you for your dedication and active participation during the session. As you continue on your mission to guide and support our youth leaders over the next 12 months, remember that your efforts are shaping the future leaders of 🇸🇬 Singapore.
