Are you ready to offer your customers a truly exceptional grocery shopping experience? Providing a shopping experience that mass merchants can't match might seem like the stuff of fantasy, but it can be achieved. This is where contextualized commerce comes in. Contextualized commerce is the seamless integration of digital and physical retail experiences to provide personalized, high-touch service. Using first-party data, operational insights, and advanced personalization techniques, contextualized commerce engages customers from initial impression to transaction, both online and in-store to ensure a connected and relevant experience across all channels. Grocers can now adapt their traditional high-touch, in-store customer service to the digital experience, incorporating value and convenience into their core value proposition. To reclaim market share from mass merchants, grocers have to do two things: Adopt and Adapt. Grocers can level the playing field with their main competition by: Adopting the key consumer drivers of value and convenience into their service offering. — and — Adapting the traditional, high-touch, high-level, in-store customer service to the digital experience. The result is Contextualized Commerce: a seamless, predictive, and personalized shopping experience that bridges online and offline shopping. I used to gain tons of knowledge about the state of e-commerce from the Pulse of the Online Shopper surveys. And I liked that is wasn't tied to a specific brand or platform, since it focused on macro-level trends. Was bummed when that went away. I like that ShipStation is providing something similar now. A lot of it reinforces my personal experience with online shopping: 1. Delivery speed is key (which we all know and love as consumers) 2. The ever rising prevalence of social media shopping (I lean a bunch on Youtube reviews) 3. How crucial the returns experience is for buying from that same company (the experience doesn't always end at the point of shipping) Check out the link below to get more stats, details, and insights:
