F1 Drivers Feeling the Heat Ahead of Gruelling Races! 🏎️ 🥵 🔥
As another season of Formula 1 has already begun, past weather conditions have proven to be a challenge for drivers and will most definitely continue this year. Just last season at the Qatar Grand Prix, hot and humid conditions claimed a number of casualties including Logan Sargeant retiring early from the race and Esteban Ocon even reporting vomiting in his helmet due to heat stress.
Mercedes Driver George Russell also reported the race as "brutal" and that he felt "close to fainting" because of the temperatures. A number of other racers including Aston Martin's Lance Stroll, needed to be medically evaluated after experiencing concerning levels of dehydration.
In preparation for these types of races, drivers are being urged to stay well hydrated in order to battle the dangerous and hot conditions on race day.
MX3 helps drivers such as George Russell to maintain and track hydration to perform at their best! Check out some more information on how MX3 can keep you safe and improve your performance below:

Last week Red Bull announced their entrants for the 2024 F1 Academy season, meaning we now know the representatives for all ten Formula 1 teams. Here's the line-up:
Red Bull Racing - Hamda Al Qubaisi
Mercedes - Doriane Pin
Ferrari - Maya Weug
McLaren - Bianca Bustamante
Aston Martin - Tina Hausmann
Alpine - Abbi Pulling
Williams - Lia Block
Visa Cash App RB - Amna Al Qubaisi
Sauber - Carrie Schreiner
Haas - Chloe Chambers
All ten drivers will sport their associated F1 team's livery during the championship, and the majority have also joined the young driver programs of their supporting team, if they weren't part of it already.
In addition to official backing from all ten teams, F1 Academy will be on the support bill for Formula 1 at all seven rounds of the season, beginning at the Saudi Arabian GP in Jeddah in March. It was also announced on Monday that the top five drivers in the 2024 standings will receive FIA Super Licence points, which is a big step forwards for the competition. There will also be a Wild Card entry at selected races, offered to a talented young female driver from the host region.
These significant developments further underline the progress that F1 Academy is looking to make in 2024 and beyond, and to ultimately provide a clear pathway for future female F1 drivers. Closer association to F1 will help increase visibility this season, something that will be key in building the longer term business model for the series.

Formula 1 is 𝗧𝗵𝗲 𝗣𝗶𝗻𝗻𝗮𝗰𝗹𝗲 𝗼𝗳 𝗠𝗼𝘁𝗼𝗿𝘀𝗽𝗼𝗿𝘁! 🏎️
Really? 🤔
I'm always fascinated by F1, it's a sport where every millisecond counts, and the lengths drivers and teams go to achieve perfection are truly astounding!
At the recent Belgian Grand Prix, George Russell was disqualified because his Mercedes car was found to be underweight, 𝗷𝘂𝘀𝘁 𝟭.𝟱 𝗸𝗴 below the minimum weight limit of 798kg. This seemingly minor discrepancy stemmed from a meticulous one-stop strategy from Mercedes-AMG PETRONAS Formula One Team, which caused the tyres to lose more rubber than expected and insufficient fuel drainage. The penalty? Losing a hard-fought victory.
in 2016, Nico Rosberg took precision to another level by shedding 1 Kg from his calf muscles to gain a competitive edge of three hundredths of a second over teammate Lewis Hamilton, Highlighting the relentless pursuit of marginal gains in F1. Nico went on to win the Drivers Championship that year by 5 points! 👏
Certainly, Formula 1 isn’t just about speed; it's about the relentless pursuit of perfection. It embodies cutting-edge engineering and pushes the human body to its limits.
For sure Formula 1 is 𝗧𝗵𝗲 𝗣𝗶𝗻𝗻𝗮𝗰𝗹𝗲 𝗼𝗳 𝗠𝗼𝘁𝗼𝗿𝘀𝗽𝗼𝗿𝘁!🏁
What do you think? let me know in the comments!

German Formula 1 circuits are hoping the sport throws them a lifeline in 2026.
Currently, with motor racing financing and fan interest having slumped in the country, neither Hockenheim nor the Nurburgring are on the bustling annual F1 calendars these days.
However, F1 CEO Stefano Domenicali has been quoted by DPA news agency as hinting that a potential solution could be on the horizon.

Fulvio Conti and I explored the British Grand Prix from Williams Racing and Visa Cash App RB F1 Team's point of view. Here is a sneak peek of the two articles:
🏎️ Williams:
The performance of the car can be determined by the asphalt itself. The Silverstone track was resurfaced with a new asphalt mix before the British Grand Prix in order to address the microbumps issue. Thus, the teams were not forced to raise the ride height of the cars, which put an emphasis on the quality of the aerodynamic maps.
🐂 Racing Bulls:
The rear of the VCARB01 car is a replica of the rear end of the RB19 car. The only thing that the Faenza-based team can do is to slightly modify the front and rear wings or to mount the beam wing. Daniel Ricciardo is having a rollercoaster season so far but he is among the drivers who are in contention for the second Red Bull seat.

The legendary F1 pit stop...a display of ruthless efficiency, seamless integration, teamwork, and focus. In this short video, you will decipher what it means to run a well-oiled organization. Here, the efficiency of a team's pit stop can be the difference between victory and second place in an ultra competitive sport.

Once again the margin of error or lack of it in F1 just shocks me, the Italian GP | Monza was fine but check this out for qualifying. The pole position went to Lando Norris with a time of 1:19.327
Zhou Guanyu was 20th place (aka Last Place) with a time of 1:21.445 -
First Place = 1:19
Last Place = 1:21
Delta. = 0:02
The reason I post this here is twofold:
1. You think your KPIs have a small margin of error
2. Never give up, sh*t happens and suddenly you are on Pole Position

When was the last time you rolled the dice and got it wrong?
For the 2024 #F1 season Sauber decided to make significant changes to their pit stops, hoping to produce quicker stops. As the somewhat observant viewer may have noticed, that backfired. Big time.
https://lnkd.in/exTZJ6NK
In the first few races of the season the team has had pit stops that lasted up to 50 seconds (where the average pit stop takes less than 3 seconds). Obviously, 50-second pit stops aren't good. They're actually really, really bad.
However, I kind of appreciate the fact that Sauber took a gamble. They didn't just change their pit stop procedure, but opted for completely new materials as well. I won't deny that it looked a little silly, seeing them fumbling around with cross-threading wheel nuts for almost a full minute.
Sauber is a backmarker team though. It's very very hard to make a difference when your car simply isn't as fast as the competition, so you need to have an innovative mindset. You need to find those marginal gains that could mean the difference between P7 and P9 in the constructor's championship, especially with very few points up for grabs for teams toward the back.
I think it is a great example of how to maintain a high performance culture. As Graeme K Hackland taught me: high performance cultures aren't about winning. If they were, then the majority of the F1 teams wouldn't have high performance cultures because they never win. It's about marginal gains, future focus, and trying to be better every single time.
Sauber clearly got this wrong, and it will take them a while to recover from that mistake. But I truly hope it doesn't stop them from trying new things to be better and faster. Fingers crossed their pit crew doesn't lose its confidence, and they'll smash it next time around in China!
