Appalling! ⚠️ Birds just weeks old shouldn’t suffer immobility, organ failure and heart attacks. Whole Foods promised to stop sourcing chickens bred to suffer by 2024. It’s time the company followed through. Take action now! https://lnkd.in/gvG7jU_C

Whole Foods Market with all of the money you profit annually, there is no excuse for not having a plan in place to stop this cruelty within your supply chain! Disgusting and disappointing

Being bred into a visceral nightmare is the stuff of the darkest horror films we can imagine, and yet we subject billions of animals to this at our whim.

Instead of changing breeds (which has proven extraordinarily difficult for industry and consumers) - Pasturebird is changing the environment to one that slows growth down through exercise, presents 900% more varied feed options, and puts birds into a constantly enriched environment. This is accomplished through solar powered floorless mobile shade structures that move to fresh pasture daily.

Create smaller poultry farms in rural America and create healthier, sustainable farming that is good for the chicken and the farmer.

Of course, Frankenstein was the scientist so these would be more accurately called "Frankenstein's monsterchickens."

There’s no need for this appalling cruelty and disregard for life in the world. We can do way better.
