An open sales role isn’t just a vacancy, it means you're leaking revenue. Every day without a complete sales team is another missed opportunity to grow the business and close deals. Producers don’t just show up - they need to be found and matched with the right team. If your sales team isn’t complete, let’s fix it and stop the revenue leak.

Here are a few signs of a junior sales rep — and no, it's not their age or CV: - They believe everything people say. - They get nervous when receiving unexpected answers. - They can’t think on their feet and lack the ability to adapt. - They wing it and don't have a plan to achieve a desired outcome. - They think that closing skills are the most important aspect of closing deals. - They can't provide a detailed description of exactly why they won or lost a deal and what difference their effort made. - They only ask surface area questions and stick to their predetermined agenda, even though they haven't yet realized the true needs of the prospect yet.

A 9-to-5 sales job isn't just about pushing products or meeting quotas; it's about understanding the complex dance of human needs, desires, and connections. It challenges you to move beyond the surface, to listen intently, and to find the subtle balance between persuasion and empathy. Every call, every pitch, and every deal becomes a reflection of who you are — your ability to connect, adapt, and respond. It's a daily exercise in resilience, facing rejection head-on while staying open to new opportunities. In many ways, a sales job is less about selling and more about self-discovery, learning how to communicate value and find meaning in the smallest of wins.

I’m looking to add one more sales rep to my team. No need to get on roofs. Make a 100k+ plus truck and stipend. What you need: 1) Work ethic. Yes you need to go door to door or find another way to self generate leads. Hot leads are also given. 2) Grit. 3) Top 1% mentality. My team is exclusive and being that I only need one more rep, I’m pretty picky. You need to be a top 1% work ethic, tenacity, grit, salesmanship. All my friends in sales. This is what opportunity knocking sounds like, she doesn’t come along very often. DM me.

Two things to look for when hiring a sales rep: A characteristic and a skill: 1. A characteristic is a personality trait. You either have it or you don’t. Can it be taught? Yes, but more often than not, baby, you were born that way. The one characteristic I would choose, then, is drive. In other words diligence, persistency, sticktoitiveness. It is the single most important factor in your sales success bar none. Don’t leave home without it. 2. As for the sales skill, that is, something that can be taught, I’m going to go with the ability to do pre-call research on a prospect and come up with a valuable and powerful statement to make when attempting to gain an appointment. This one you can acquire. And should. If I get a 3rd choice, I’m going to go with superior communication skills. That is, outstanding written and spoken abilities. This person IS out there. Keep looking and don’t settle. And when you do hire, sign him/her for The Sales Vault. Hit the link in the Comments section below for more information.
