St George Mining Ltd Acquires Advanced High-Grade Niobium Project in Brazil (ASX: SGQ) John Prineas, Executive Chairman, expressed his excitement about the acquisition, stating, “The Araxá Project is located in the world’s ‘dress circle’ for niobium production and presents a tremendous opportunity for St George to become a global player in the niobium market.” “Extensive high-grade niobium mineralisation has already been discovered at the Project – with more than 500 intercepts of niobium grades above 1% – providing a strong foundation for St George to quickly progress to potential resource definition. In addition to niobium, high-grade rare earths mineralisation has been confirmed by drilling over a widespread area.” “The high-grade mineralisation commences at surface and is open in all directions, with excellent prospects to substantially expand the known mineralised footprint. Significantly, less than 10% of the project area has been effectively drilled and there has been limited drilling beyond 50m from surface.” (Quote continues) Read our article below: https://lnkd.in/dh3A2nnM #ree #rareearths #brazil #mining #geology #resources #stocks #asx #sgq

Since Kombat’s rebirth, geologists were eyeing significant surface mineralisation at an area about 15km east of the active mining licence and the historic mining town of Kombat. The area was known as Schlangental, a key prospect within the wider Kombat property. According to Jed Richardson, Trigon’s CEO and Executive Chairman, there were reports of historical drilling that indicated mineralisation continued at depth, but no cores or detailed logs were available. Trigon started planning to drill more than 36 holes totalling 4000m in the area they refer to as the Copper King Extension. The first two holes have now been drilled at Schlangental, and both holes intercepted mineralisation at modest depths. The mineralisation was largely chalcocite (sulfide) and malachite (oxide) with associated higher-than-average silver compared to the main mineral resource at the Kombat mine and compared to the bornite and chalcopyrite copper sulfides predominant at the Kombat mine. “Given the encouraging start, deeper drilling will now be undertaken to confirm if this pattern continues in the new area,” says Richardson. We've received payment of $3.3 million from Saskatchewan Research Council for sale of stockpiled rare earth material, as announced last month. The sale was facilitated by Natural Resources Canada relating to our stockpiled rare earth material derived from a previous mining campaign on Nechalacho’s North T deposit. We remain focused on developing the Tardiff deposit at Nechalacho and will deliver a Scoping Study for Tardiff in CY2024. Managing Director Lisa Riley said: “Our sale of stockpiled material to SRC is now complete, allowing Vital to derive value from our earlier work at Nechalacho. This allows us to focus on development of Tardiff as a long-life, large-scale rare earths project. A Scoping Study is the next logical step in our pathway and we are on track to deliver the study by the end of 2024. “We expect our newsflow to increase over the coming months as we work towards and achieve milestones towards its completion.” Read the full ASX Announcement here: https://lnkd.in/gRZPRcYe #VML #VitalMetals #REE #rareearths #Canada #ASX #ASXNews

Bravo Mining Corp. announced this morning a potentially significant discovery of High-Grade IOCG-Style Massive Sulphide Copper-Gold Mineralization at its Luanga Project, in the Carajás Mineral Province, state of Pará, Brazil. Highlights include 11.48m at 14.3% Cu, 3.3g/t Au including 2.9m at 22.9% Cu, 3.6g/t Au at T5 Target Regional exploration has drilled two new areas of sulphide mineralization (T5 and T6 Targets), east of the original Luanga PGM+Ni+Au deposit. T5 and T6 targets are only two of eleven priority EM anomalies hosted within the boundaries of the Luanga tenement. T6 target has also intersected massive sulphides in ultramafic rock Drilling of geophysical HeliTEM targets has identified high-grade Iron Oxide Copper Gold style (“IOCG-style”) mineralization and represents a potentially significant high-grade copper discovery. T5 is only one of eleven priority EM anomalies hosted within the boundaries of the Luanga tenement. Moreover, at the proximal EM target (T6), drilling has intersected similar massive sulphide mineralization (assays pending).” said Luis Azevedo, Chairman and CEO. “We are very encouraged by the discovery of high-grade copper and shareholders should be cognisant that Luanga is situated within the world class Carajás IOCG province, an area very fertile for high-grade copper discoveries. These results are a credit to Bravo’s highly skilled geology team who are only now beginning to uncover the very exciting copper potential adjacent to Luanga’s Tier 1 PGM+Au+Ni deposit. Coverage stock Talisman Mining (ASX: TLM) has provided an important update with respect to ongoing exploration activity at its Lachlan Copper-Gold Project in NSW. Current activity is focused on the Durnings Prospect, where TLM has today released its latest drilling results that have seen the company’s share price climb by 25%. The Lachlan Project spans the Canbelego-Mineral Hill Volcanic Belt between Condobolin and Canbelego in NSW, being prospective for large scale porphyry copper-gold and VMS style copper-lead-zinc-silver deposits. Significant mineralised zones have been logged from the first follow-up diamond hole, whilst several step-out RC holes have potentially intersected the Upper mineralised zone along strike - recording anomalous sulphur, zinc, lead and copper readings from pXRF field analysis. Collectively, these results demonstrate that Durnings is emerging as a significant greenfields base and precious metal discovery. The current work program will play an important role in generating an accurate picture of the orientation and style of the lead-zinc-silver-copper-gold sulphide mineralization. TLM’s funding position is boosted by its Wonmunna Iron Ore Royalty, where since the commencement of production in March 2021, TLM has received total royalty payments of $15.1 million. As of 31 December 2023, Talisman held $7.9 million in cash and investments. #copper #exploration #mining #commodities #resources #NSW #equities #ausbiz
