🤖𝐀𝐈 𝐑𝐎𝐁𝐎𝐓𝐈𝐂𝐒 𝐈𝐍 𝐅𝐀𝐑𝐌𝐈𝐍𝐆: 𝐓𝐇𝐄 𝐖𝐄𝐄𝐕𝐈𝐋 𝐑𝐎𝐁𝐎𝐓 📜Here is an example of a revolutionary high tech gadget that can massively improve grain storage as we know it. Now as you may be aware farmers or agro processing companies that deal in grain commodities may decide to store grain in silos due to varying factors such as speculative demand forces and to ensure a steady supply of the commodity. However storage may not entirely be risk free as there are challenges that may compromise with grain quality if not adequately addressed. ✅ In this video clip is a miniature weevil robot that has high end mobility to navigate it's way through grain and break clusters that form due to compaction. This helps prevent molds from forming and hence preserves grain quality. Additionally the robot is remotely controlled hence there's no risk of having human personnel working in such tight spaces. What do you think about this technology? #agritech #Ai #ROBOTICS #agriculture

Innovating in Grain Storage I recently saw a post about a miniature weevil robot that improves grain storage by breaking up compaction and preventing mold, all while being remotely controlled for safety. This got me thinking about how such technology could tackle the challenges of grain storage in Ghana, where issues like mold and pests often compromise quality. I hope that Ghanaian and African agriculture will rise to embrace such innovations to improve food quality, reduce waste, and enhance food security across the continent. What do you think? Could this tech have a future in the Ghanaian industry? 🚜

Fungi are already making alt proteins, insulation, and even eating plastic. Now, they’re powering robots. 🍄 🤖 Researchers at Cornell have found a surprising new use for fungi—controlling robots. Mycelium, the underground fungal network, sends electrical signals that steer a robot’s movements. Why use fungi in robots? 1️⃣ Sensitive: Detects environmental changes, perfect for real-time robotic control. 2️⃣ Resilient: Unlike other living materials, it thrives in harsh conditions, making it an ideal biohybrid component. How does it work? 🤔 🛜 Mycelium reacts to UV light, sending tiny electrical signals that the robot’s motors detect. ↔️ These signals adjust the robot’s movement. See the prototype in action in the link in the first comment. #Fungi #FoodTech

Initially for the food industry, but with the potential to transform industrial monitoring and quality control in many different industries. 🐖 A concrete example of DEXTRA technology in action is the automation of deboning processes in slaughterhouses. Deboning is a manual and physically challenging work process for slaughterhouse workers. At the same time, the requirement for precision means that the work is currently difficult to entrust to robots. "𝘽𝙮 𝙘𝙤𝙢𝙗𝙞𝙣𝙞𝙣𝙜 𝙓-𝙧𝙖𝙮 𝙩𝙚𝙘𝙝𝙣𝙤𝙡𝙤𝙜𝙮 𝙖𝙣𝙙 𝘼𝙄, 𝙬𝙚 𝙤𝙗𝙩𝙖𝙞𝙣 𝙖 3𝘿 𝙫𝙞𝙨𝙪𝙖𝙡𝙞𝙨𝙖𝙩𝙞𝙤𝙣 𝙤𝙛 𝙩𝙝𝙚 𝙞𝙩𝙚𝙢𝙨 𝙩𝙤 𝙗𝙚 𝙙𝙚𝙗𝙤𝙣𝙚𝙙. 𝙒𝙚 𝙖𝙣𝙖𝙡𝙮𝙨𝙚 𝙩𝙝𝙚 𝙓-𝙧𝙖𝙮 𝙞𝙢𝙖𝙜𝙚𝙨 𝙨𝙤 𝙩𝙝𝙖𝙩 𝙬𝙚 𝙘𝙖𝙣 𝙞𝙙𝙚𝙣𝙩𝙞𝙛𝙮 𝙬𝙝𝙚𝙧𝙚 𝙩𝙝𝙚𝙧𝙚 𝙖𝙧𝙚 𝙗𝙤𝙣𝙚𝙨 𝙖𝙣𝙙 𝙬𝙝𝙚𝙧𝙚 𝙩𝙝𝙚𝙧𝙚 𝙞𝙨 𝙢𝙚𝙖𝙩. With market potential across Europe and the USA, the technology is expected to be widely implemented in various industrial sectors where precise spatial measurement of products is required. 🦾 The project is supported by Innovationsfonden Denmark, and in addition to DMRI - Danish Technological Institute , DTU - Technical University of Denmark, automation companies Frontmatec and AIRA Robotics S.L., as well as the slaughterhouse company Danish Crown are participating in the project.
