Jim knows where it's at 👏👏 So often we make our ACL-ers jump through hoops (pun completely intended) to get back to their pre-injury sport. Strength tests, hop tests, vertical jump tests are commonly what we'll focus on in return to sport planning. But don't forget about assessing psychological readiness to return to sport with the ACL-RSI questionnaire. ACL-RSI is a valid and reliable outcome measure in ACL populations and one recent paper by McPherson et al 2019 showed that scores >77% had lower risk of sustaining a 2nd ACL injury within 2yrs compared to those who chose to return to sport with scores of 76% or lower. In the evolving landscape of healthcare payment models, value-based care (VBC) contracts present a unique opportunity for providers to improve patient outcomes while maximizing profitability. By embracing population health management, implementing robust data analytics solutions, adopting care coordination and collaboration, focusing on preventive care and chronic disease management, and negotiating risk-bearing agreements with payers, healthcare organizations can thrive in the VBC environment. VBC is a paradigm shift from fee-for-service (FFS), with quality trumping quantity, so as your VBC population grows, clinical teams should feel the impact of transitioning from the FFS “factory” to a patient centered medical home This commercial is spot-on. Kudos to the Village Medical team… Additionally, staying informed about evolving regulations and best practices is crucial to staying ahead of the curve and maintaining a competitive edge. #valuebasedcare

Have you ever heard the one about the music-loving business student who walked into a ski resort and stumbled right into the labyrinth of Australia's healthcare complexities? Neither did I until it became the unexpected plot twist in my journey from the snowy slopes in the Snowy Mountains to an ACL surgery. Hello everyone, it's Michael from Indonesia. I am currently studying commerce at UNSW Sydney. In my video, as part of the COMM5501 project, I provide a thorough data analysis with supporting graphs illuminating the state of the Australian healthcare system today. It aligns with SDG 3 regarding good health and well-being. The skiing accident and subsequent ACL surgery provided a first-hand encounter that sparked curiosity when choosing my topic for this project. From my quest for proper medical attention, limited insurance coverage, and a surge of international experiences, the spotlight turns towards enhancing the healthcare workforce, reforming global health coverage, and embracing cutting-edge medical procedures. Indeed, I discovered a knack for weaving personal narratives into broader systemic issues, which may be a strength for me. One weakness I identified is the potential for bias in personal narratives. Thanks to Dr. Chessman Wekwete, Dr. Jun Chen, and all my fellow students, I accomplished my data story project with cogent data and understanding, comprehensive analysis with opposing perspectives, and limitations on personal anecdotes. Furthermore, I intend to continue exploring the intersection of personal narratives and broader systemic issues. This project has sparked an interest in advocating for improvements in healthcare through impactful storytelling and data-driven insights. Overall, I would rate myself 9/10 for this project. 😊 Take a look at my video 👇 #UNSW Navigating the Maze of Healthcare: My Personal Odyssey from Ski Slopes to Surgical Tables https://lnkd.in/geNJkmrU
