Reflecting on what an amazing start we’ve had to 2024. 🎲 We started the year by announcing a major collaboration at CES in Las Vegas with Google https://lnkd.in/gqhhnsSk 🥇 The same week at CES we unveiled a design win with RayNeo in another announcement supported by our friends at Qualcomm https://lnkd.in/gVsrK_kg 🎤 To round out an action-packed January, our VP and GM, Dr. Paul Meissner, took the stage at SPIE Photonics West and delivered an exciting talk about our group’s vision for the 100M smart glasses revolution. This will be available on the SPIE digital library soon. 👓 Our latest announcement should appeal to fashion conscious readers! This week together with Avegant and Qualcomm, we shared a sleek new AI smart glasses design at Mobile World Congress in Barcelona, paving the path toward stylish glasses delivering intelligence through the AR1 chipset platform https://lnkd.in/gj-YSB7M Making AR a reality at the scale we envision is not easy. Some takeaways we are sharing with the industry at large are that: 1. The right team is needed, and we have some amazing partners on ours 2. System level co-optimization is a MUST in order to take the major leaps forward that meet MVP levels of performance 3. Building out the channels and factories for AR devices will require additional investment and partnership

📅 We look back at a very rewarding 2023 with a sense of accomplishment on the progress in expanding the adoption of our event-based Metavision solution to an even wider set of markets, applications and use cases that improve safety, productivity and user experiences. 🤝 Our successful engagement with Qualcomm to incorporate the 4th generation version of our sensor, developed in collaboration with Sony, into the widely used Snapdragon platform was a notable highlight. The benefits that event cameras have for mobile photographers are significant and we expect to see handset OEMs begin offering these revolutionary image-improving features in their products shortly. 🆕 We also launched our fifth-generation sensor platform, the award-winning GenX320. This breakthrough product lineup brings event-based vision even more into mainstream use thanks to its record-breaking size and power consumption, as well as improved integrability into embedded platforms. 🌐 Reflecting on the past year, we are especially thankful for our world-class team of talented and enthusiastic employees now numbering 130+ strong around the globe. They are the key to our singular mission to drive an evolutionary shift in camera and sensing technology. Our 12,000+ ecosystem of partners, developers, and inventors is expanding at a fast pace, finding new and creative ways to apply our technology. Our success in 2023 definitely set us on the right path to an even more fruitful 2024. Best wishes to all our employees, partners, customers, investors, and other supporters for a safe and healthy new year! 👉 https://lnkd.in/gbR4Nuzv #computervision #eventbasedvision #eventsensor #eventcamera #ebv #neuromorphic #metavision

Every technology trade show has something with a wow factor, leading attendees to imagine the possibilities. At MWC Barcelona, that something was the clear laptop from Lenovo, according to SlashGear. Powering the concept’s see-through keyboard is Nano-Thin Film Illumination technology from Azumo, an Anzu portfolio company creating display technology that enables devices to be seen in all lighting conditions. Nano-TFI allows a thin plastic sheet to light up brightly on command, changing the screen from crystal clear to very viewable instantly. As the article mentions, there are many different applications for this technology, from next-generation vehicles on the road to speaker buttons that only appear as needed. Along with Nano-TFI, Azumo also produces LCD 2.0, the first complete power-efficient solution for maintaining consistent display contrast across dynamic lighting conditions.
