Falls and repetitive falls are the main cause of injury. Due to lack of early interventions on admission, lack of collaboration between the Nursing and therapy department is the biggest cause of these falls and miscommunication. Lack of CNA and Nurse communication about changes in condition is also a big factor. Falls need a very robust program and if that lacks then falls are a major problem in Nursing Homes.
