Now more than ever, the private sector has a critical role to play in mobilising capital that can help address unmet community needs and develop solutions to some of the urgent challenges facing society. As governments weigh up competing demands and budget priorities, the private sector can provide the investment and specialist expertise needed to drive innovation and the provision of critical services across our communities. In the Americas, we’re partnering with local firms across our network in a range of areas - from specialist tech firms preparing employees for roles of the future to improving school-age reading outcomes and digitising public service payment platforms. By working with others in private and public sectors, we’re making a real-world impact – together. Couldn't agree more. The devastation caused by war and climate change make it absolutely imperative to be part of the solution - what's the point of being a billionaire on a dead planet? Also, there are opportunities to leap-frog technologies, disruptions that promote pro-social media, AI to inform better decision making and cut low level tasks - giving employees more recreation time and therefore better productivity, longevity and wellbeing saving companies a fortune. Rebuilding democracy through good governance and transparency - using evidence to inform policy and investment. Rebuilding Ukraine and now Maui with new clean technologies - the first cities of the future.
