There's a lot of similarities between military acquisition & programs in apprenticeships. They both cost money when it comes to operations. Military acquisition deals w/ DOD contracts & apprenticeship programs deal w/ grants.

After much reflection, I’ve made the decision not to apply for the apprenticeships at Rolls-Royce and BAE Systems, despite my initial excitement. These companies are undeniably leaders in engineering and aerospace, but after learning about their involvement in supplying military weapons and technology that support nations like Israel in their ongoing aggression against Palestine and Gaza, I cannot, in good conscience, pursue a path with them. It’s deeply concerning to see how these organizations, which are also involved in the attacks on Lebanon, have embedded military applications in their programs. For instance, Rolls-Royce’s Digital and Technology Apprenticeship heavily focuses on developing systems that fuel warfare. By aiding Israel and other countries like the U.S. in their military pursuits, both Rolls-Royce and BAE Systems play a direct role in enabling the violence and occupation that we are witnessing. I believe that, as students and aspiring professionals, we have a responsibility to align our careers with our values. For me, that means standing against companies complicit in war crimes and genocide. I urge my peers, especially those who care about humanity and justice, to consider boycotting these apprenticeship schemes as a form of protest. Let’s make choices that reflect the future we want to build – one rooted in peace and fairness.

What a great week at Ft Liberty! The Ft Liberty MTC team gave the opportunity for new FA57s to: 1. comprehend all of the low overhead tools that can support Division, Brigade and Battalion training support demands. 2. allow our students to learn about a large scale simulation (JLCCTC), by creating units and thread tests. 3. Compare advantages and disadvantages of both low overhead tools and large scale simulations. 4. Clearly see that the Joint Event Life Cycle (JLEC) is truly a modifiable model, and how to modify the model to meet unit training request that are <90 days from execution. Additionally, Ft Liberty FA57s hosted a luncheon so that new FA57 officers could understand that living in the FA57 world is cognitively challenging, but that the entire community will respond whenever someone has a question. Thanks to everyone at Ft. Liberty for making the 'apprenticeship week' such a huge success!Kenneth Harvey, PMPCharles JarvisMatthew GoncalvesJosh Hutchison CSM (Ret) Frank LuedtkeMatthew Mackey

🎖️ Joining the Army doesn't mean just becoming a combat solider! 🎖️ "Kaine was not aware of the apprenticeship career path offered by the Army when he joined in 2019 but has now completed his Level Three Business Administrator Apprenticeship, which is the equivalent to two ‘A’ Levels." Meaning there are no limitations to what you can learn in the Army, and the skills learnt are transferrable to a civilian career. The missing million: Will we find enough tradespeople in the workforce to build the future of Britain? https://bit.ly/3TrQzMf. In a recent article from Get In UK, they discuss that the construction industry needs 937,000 new workers to meet growing demand by 2032! Although they focus on apprenticeships, we understand how crucial these stats are and how apprentices aren't the only 'need'. We help retrain individuals from the Armed Forces Community, including the Army, RAF, the Navy, Veterans, Reservists and their families who are looking to leave the forces and start a new career path in the construction industry. Can you support our cause and provide those pathways? We are always looking to partner with corporate and academy partners, industry, and educational services to help strengthen how we can join forces between industry, education and the Armed Forces.
