Recently, at the 2024 𝗗𝗶𝗴𝗶𝘁𝗮𝗹 𝗙𝗮𝗰𝘁𝗼𝗿 𝗰𝗼𝗻𝘁𝗲𝘀𝘁, Autostrade per l'Italia celebrated the strategic innovation of two key products created during our Digital Transformation Journey. 𝗔𝗿𝗴𝗼 - An asset management platform featuring a sofisticated BIMmodel of our critical infrastructure (> 1900 bridges and viaducts, > 1700 overpass, > 550 galleries). 𝗥𝗮𝗽𝗽𝗼𝗿𝘁𝗶𝗻𝗼 - A standardized, interoperable platform adopted by over 300 users to manage the entire lifecycle of ordinary and recurrent maintance activities accross our highway network. This week, as a reward to the committment of these two fantastic product teams, Emiliano Di Marino, Erica De Gasperis, Francesco Ponzo and myself had the incredible opportunity to attend the Gartner 𝗔𝗽𝗽𝗹𝗶𝗰𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻 𝗜𝗻𝗻𝗼𝘃𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻 & 𝗕𝘂𝘀𝗶𝗻𝗲𝘀𝘀 𝗦𝗼𝗹𝘂𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻𝘀 Summit in London. It is undeniable that Gen Z stands out as a distinct generation - also when it comes to their perspective on mobility. 🚌 A recent study by McKinsey & Company found out: 💡 43% of Generation Z individuals have expressed intentions to utilize public transport more frequently. Private vehicles are still very popular, but mobility is increasingly multimodal among younger generations in Europe. They are less likely to use private cars and plan to increase their use of public transit and micromobility. Individuality is one of the most important values of this generation.
