For GPS, nurses and allied health clinicians. The ask, share, know model from the university of Sydney, is a useful tool providing three simple questions around accessing healthcare providers. It is so important we engage in shared decision making in early stages of care- 1. What are my options? 2. What are the possible benefits or harm of these options? 3. How likely are each of these harms and benefits and harms happen to me? The ask me 3 program reminds us of how to slow down and be a good communicator with participants and their families: 1.
