Nonprofits, how do you set the objectives of a survey? Let us take a simple example: ● Choose an objective statement: "To assess the effectiveness of online learning modules in improving software development skills among high school students." ● Break down the objective: Identify what needs to be measured (effectiveness, improvement in skills). ● Develop draft questions: [measure verbs] + [data that you already have on this group] = [so you can map how exactly this helps in taking an action] a. For Effectiveness: "How would you rate the effectiveness of the online learning modules for learning software development?" b. For Skill Improvement: "How much do you feel your software development skills have improved after completing the online learning modules?" ● Refine questions for bias - ensure questions are neutral and do not suggest a desired response. ● Pilot test: Choose a small group of students and educators for feedback. And then you launch. Here is a freebie to design those objectives with more intention. Link to the freebie: https://lnkd.in/gvsG8Ebk And if you need support, reach out for the Survey Kaleidoscope workshop—a 90-minute pre-survey planning workshop during which you and I will collectively review these details with your team. Hello LinkedIn Community, We're reaching out to all Microsoft employees and anyone who might know them. Your support is invaluable! Please take a moment to read this post, and if you're not a Microsoft employee, we would greatly appreciate it if you could share it with someone who is. This message highlights the incredible initiatives spearheaded by the students of the Indian Institute of Technology, Kharagpur, for more than twenty years. In 2002, a group of dedicated IITians noticed the significant gap between life inside the IIT campus and the challenges faced by the surrounding communities. In response to this disparity, they founded the Gopali Youth Welfare Society. We are a government-registered student-run NGO, guided by committed professors from IIT Kharagpur. Our mission focuses on uplifting the underprivileged communities in the villages surrounding the IIT campus. Our initiatives encompass education, community development, and hunger eradication in these areas. Our flagship initiative, the English Medium School Jagriti Vidya Mandir (JVM), offers high-quality education at no cost to more than 250 students from Nursery through 5th grade. In addition to high-quality education, we have built a residential hostel on our school premises, equipped with all essential living facilities to foster our students' growth and holistic development. We ensure they receive proper nutrition and medical care. This post pertains to Microsoft’s Employee Giving Program. We are incredibly grateful for the support we've received in the past year, which has allowed us to provide quality education to our students and sustain our efforts. Your contributions through Microsoft’s Employee Giving Program will directly support the educational needs of our students, helping us provide the necessary resources and infrastructure. We encourage the Microsoft community to step forward and help us fulfill the dreams of underprivileged children who rely on us for their education and well-being. Here are the steps to donate: 1)Log in with your company credentials at microsoft.benevity.org 2)Search for our cause using the keyword “gopali” 3)Choose the project titled “Jagriti Vidya Mandir - Providing free of cost education to underprivileged students from villages around IIT Kharagpur” from the search results 4)Click on Donate Now #work #education #community #students #help #Microsoft #iitkgp #ngo #gyws #jvm #donation #donate #giving #thanksgiving #support #hunger_eradication
