More exciting redevelopment for Greater Manchester! There are six previously neglected areas of our city region soon to be unrecognisable if developments go to plan. Key projects include the transformation of former industrial sites into mixed-use developments featuring residential, commercial, and public spaces including: 1. Atom Valley (Rochdale, Bury & Oldham): A new technology and innovation hub across three sites on the M62 corridor, along with 20,000 new jobs and 7,000 new homes. 2. Holt Town - East Manchester: 4,500 new homes, some of which will be affordable, as well as greenspace and opportunities for around 1,500 new jobs. 3. Victoria North - Collyhurst: 15,000 new homes and seven new neighbourhoods, with potential to grow the population by 40,000 people. 4. Ashton-under-Lyne: Development of an “innovation park” and Ashton town centre's market square and Town Hall are also set for a facelift thanks to £20m awarded to the area. 5. Wythenshawe: 1,750 new homes are set to be built, including supported accommodation and genuinely affordable houses, along with a brand new cultural hub and a new public square. 6. Oldham: Developer Muse is working with the council to transform the town, improving its centre and building 2,000 new homes. These projects aim to revitalise the local economy, provide new housing options, and enhance community facilities. The plans are also expected to bring significant investment to the region, improve infrastructure, and create jobs. From groundbreaking developments to the vibrant spirit of our community, it feels like once again, Manchester is on the cusp of something extraordinary! The city has already witnessed the launch of several transformative projects, including the ambitious Town Hall restoration and the game-changing Mayfield regeneration. 🏗️ The commitment to preserving our rich history while embracing modernity is what makes Manchester exceptional. It's great to see the incredible vision of leaders like Beverley Craig, who recently outlined plans for the next 10-15 years, promising to redefine the cityscape. The focus on sustainability, innovation, and community engagement is exactly what we need to ensure a bright and inclusive future for all. This is a milestone worth celebrating! The London Studios as a concept, 72 Upper Ground's defining placemaking principles of Cultural Excellence, Next Gen Talent and Creative-Tech will deliver more than just economic growth for London Borough of Lambeth and our #CreativeIndustries here in #London. This was one of the first placemaking strategies I had the privilege of developing during my time as a senior strategist at Futurecity. As a Londoner, as the daughter of a proud South London musician and cultural innovator born and bred, co-authoring this cultural strategy, meant that success for this cultural strategy was personal! London's NextGen talent have had so much of the cultural infrastructure of my parents generation taken away from them. With The London Studios and with 72 Upper Ground's inclusive approach to placemaking through co-design, meanwhile activation and public consultation, this development will not only bring some of this much needed cultural infrastructure back, it will also create the backdrop for a new flagship, that Londoners can truly be proud of. #Creative + #Tech = #SocialValue 1 in 5 jobs in London are creative. In years to come, this site will be a hub for the future creative entrepreneurs, cultural innovators and cross sector collaborations that will continue to ensure our City remains #1, but will also set out a new paradigm for ensuring future #fdi and #realestate in London makes creating accessible platforms for for grassroots local talent to thrive and STAY in their hometown, a priority! Talent retention isn't a fluffy concept. My hope is that this ground-breaking collaboration between developer, local authority and the local community to co-design this future incubator will encourage others to follow this approach. 241 signed contracts were reported in Manhattan last week, with the most expensive being #86 at 157 West 57th Street, last asking for an eye-popping $38.5 million. Downtown had 81 signed contracts, while Midtown boasted an average last ask of $3.2 million, making it the most expensive area. On the other hand, FiDi/BPC was the most affordable area with an average last ask of $1.2 million. Meanwhile, there were 27 signed contracts reported in the Manhattan New Development Market, with the average price of signed contracts increasing to $4.8 million from $4.5 million. Downtown reported 10 signed contracts, with #PH70 at 138 East 50th Street being the most expensive sponsor signed contract, last asking for a whopping $24,950,000.

Tower cranes are a common sight as new high-rise buildings, particularly residential and office developments, reshape the skyline. Cardiff's skyline is changing at a rapid pace as we strive to deliver the cities ambitious infrastructure pipeline, at the same time increasing our global offer to attract more talent and skills to the region. So often I speak to visitors who have not visited the city for almost 10yrs and they are amazed by its transformation to date. From the ashes we are seeing the rise of Central Quay, final delivery of the last plot at Central Square in the pipeline, The Copper Works, Anchor Works, Harlech Court developers recently announcing the potential of Wales' tallest tower on Bute Terrace, to name but a few of the key projects currently underway in the Welsh Capital. Now we see a very new type of offer - Co-Living. This 'First of a kind' in Wales, co-living residential scheme was recently announced for Knox Road at the site of the old Legal & General offices. Since the rise of flexible/hybrid working post Covid, cities are working hard to attract people back to their highstreets and offices, this gap is very much being filled by the creation of new residential opportunities combined with high quality leisure and hospitality offer, that breathes life after the traditional working day is done.
