People want remote work 😤 I've hired 20+ AEs this year. And most of the time I was competing against hybrid or in-office. I don't think it's coincidence that 95% of the offers I made were accepted because of this. Not only that... All remote companies are much more financially stable, because real estate and everything that comes with it is super expensive. More and more people are caring about that too with all these layoffs and wanting to be somewhere long term. Remote work really seems to be a game changer for attracting talent. It also opens up a wider talent pool without geographical constraints. I’m curious, have you noticed any differences in team dynamics or performance with a remote setup?
Remote work is great, but for those starting their careers, in-person office time offers key benefits like real-time feedback, informal learning, and spontaneous collaboration with experienced colleagues. While flexibility is important, we shouldn't overlook the value of in-office mentoring and networking for early career growth. Finding a balance between flexibility and development is key!
I see the value of being in office but times are changing. Maybe we need to re revisit the meta goggles.
So I’m a big hybrid person and I know I will have a bias, but I have to disagree completely when you say: “All remote companies are much more financially stable” That is not just impossible to quantify but I can easily come up with a good argument that remote companies are less financially stable if you look at raw percentages. Feel free to pump up remote work but I’d hate someone young to see this and get the wrong impression
Also working remote has a huge impact on working parents success. It means you can create a more balanced life while showing up better in both areas.
100% Mike - If companies can’t trust their employees to get work done without in-person micromanaging, they’re hiring the wrong people.
I also believe remote to be extremely valuable - but I share the view of some in the comments that having the structure of the office life can be of great benefit for those who are just getting into a new career.
I’ll always be remote
I don't get the resistance here - or how more companies aren't seeing this. Sounds like their loss is your gain though :)

1moWorking remote gives me the excuse to go the extra mile and better blend work and life so that there isn't so much of a divide but a productive unity of one. 100X improvement for me personally. Wouldn't have it any other way.
