Today I visited the Petrobrazi Refinery. Did you know that... The Petrobrazi Refinery, one of the largest and most important refineries in Romania, holds a few interesting and emblematic aspects that define it: 1. Long history and industrial tradition: Inaugurated in 1934, Petrobrazi has made a significant contribution to Romania's oil industry over the decades. It is one of the oldest operational refineries in the country and has survived both wartime periods and the post-communist economic transition. 2. Massive modernizations: Starting in 2010, the Petrobrazi refinery has benefited from investments of over 600 million euros from OMV Petrom for modernization. These investments have transformed the refinery into one of the most modern in Eastern Europe, with advanced technologies for energy efficiency and emission reduction. 3. Significant processing capacity: The Petrobrazi refinery has a processing capacity of 4.5 million tons of crude oil per year, supplying fuel and petroleum products to a significant portion of the Romanian market, playing a key role in the country’s energy security.

INP just announced China National Oil Corporation Hong Kong Holding Ltd (CNOOC) and ENH as the winning companies of the 6th licensing round for the research and production of hydrocarbons. This award comes about three years after the approval of the new Strategy of Concession of Areas for Exploration and Production of Hydrocarbons. Awarded entities will now enjoy at least 8 years of concession rights, which will allow operating companies to mature the research process during this period, with particular emphasis on natural gas, ensuring the injection of cleaner and more accessible energy in the national and international market. The Sixth Licensing Round for the Concession of Hydrocarbon Exploration and Production Areas includes 16 new areas, distributed by 4 distinct regions, five of which are located in the Rovuma Basin, seven in Angoche, two in the Zambezi Delta and two in Save, totalling more than 92,000 km². #mozambique #lng #oil&gas #e&p

ENAP AND HIF Global SIGN AGREEMENT THAT WILL ACCELERATE THE IMPLEMENTATION OF SYNTHETIC FUELS IN CHILE [H2News Plataforma Multimedia] A new step in their alliance was taken in Paris (France) during the Chile Day, by the National Petroleum Company (Enap) and HIF Global, who signed a commercial agreement that will accelerate the development of e-Fuels in Chile. This updates previous agreements between both companies and opens the possibility for Enap to join as a shareholder in HIF's e-Fuel production projects in Magallanes. It will also allow the development of a project to make viable everything from the unloading of equipment to the export of final products and to define a business model for the state-owned company to market carbon-neutral fuels. #Thailand’s PTT Exploration and Production (PTTEP) company is set to carry out a study on #carbon storage potential in the country’s Northern Gulf with Japan’s INPEX, under an international collaboration between the Thai Department of Mineral Fuels (DMF) and Japan Organization for Metals and Energy Security (Japan Oil, Gas and Metals National Corporation (JOGMEC). Thailand has #CO2 storage capacity of 2.69 GtCO2, reported the Ministry of #Energy.
